    Maybe they need to tweak the calculations, because that delay it has is bad.. a person I rescued, still died DURING transit because the game had to do its position calcs first, THEN do it's thing.

    I also feel that someone might not receive being rescued as well.. being rescued, but trolled instead.

    i am simple man, if you use rescue and i am still taking damage from mechanic, then you are trolling, stop doing it

    Personally never really been "saved" by someone using rescue. My IRL friends use it to troll me because DRG requires positionals and locks me into animations so they like to try and kill me with it or at least annoy me. I've had people use it to try and fastforward my tanking because I wasn't pulling big enough for them.

    The idea is sound, but the application is so open to abuse. In my opinion nobody should ever have control over your character but you in an MMORPG. (excluding boss "mind control" or "fear" effects).

    Even in other games people find the most frustrating thing is being CC'd since it yanks control away from the player.

    Yeah.. I'm sure people DO use it correctly and in good will sometimes.. but it's not gonna be a gamechanger if it disappears next patch and I for one will not miss it one bit if it does.

    My experience with rescue as the "rescued" one is where healers have tried saving me with good intentions but ultimately failed because:

    -I had a mental pathway on dodging something and the rescue screwed it up.

    -You tried rescuing me to get me close to proximity heals. I don't have a problem with that but if you had read the situation carefully, we're in a no dmg phase because we're in some dps mechanic. Now I gotta run back to it.

    -You rescued me from dmg...only for me to land exactly in another attack.

    Now there have been instances where rescue has worked 100% as intended, that I won't deny but often time, I find it failing primarily because of the first reason I listed. Especially if, as a dps, I know full well the timing I'm going to dodge an attack. It sucks that I can't communicate this to the healer on the fly and I do appreciate their intent but perhaps rescue can be tweaked/replaced by something more effective.

    That said, the spell needs to be *fixed.* Idk if it's the way it's designed or if there's some real potato nonsense going on in the way the servers process actions, but the massive delay in it's activation and the way it actually decides to move (or just plain freaking NOT move) people is actually a serious problem. Seeing a rescue go off a split second too late and land somebody's corpse in a safe spot is beyond frustrating.

    As a healer, I've never used rescue or had it used on me, but as a dps, I've had other healers use it on me constantly but incorrectly. There have been plenty of times where I've been minding my own business only to be suddenly dragged somewhere else.

    I've seen, "Sorry, I thought you weren't doing mechanics." so many times in chat.
    Not to mention I find it incredibly jarring and it completely throws me off when it happens.

    It's a very useful and efficient spell. I don't want to see it removed from the game.

    Most people who need to be Rescued die more often than Rescue can account for.

    The obvious consequence is that Rescue doesn't deny them all that many "reinforcement opportunities".

    The more important here is that being pulled across the room therefore ends up the rarer and more memorable event, generally better capitalizing on the teachable moment than the death alone could have.

    Also, how useful is the learning opportunity that "having one too few people intercepting meteors is bad" to the 7 surviving players when they're performing the mechanic correctly but nonetheless are spiraled into a wipe by the untimely death you could have prevented?
