DX11 Errors (One more !)

Hello !

Since last week and 5.1 patch release, I was experimenting some severe DirectX11 crashes when I tried to enter in the Copied Factory 24 men raid (During loading page, just before the "Party" message).

I've tried many manips to try to resolve this issue since then :

- Video card clean reinstalling with Display Driver Uninstaller : Crash;
- Tried launching with DX09 : Crash;
- Game reinstalling with deleting local save at My Documents > My Games : Crash;
- Unplugging all my devices and switching off bluetooth : Crash;
- Deactivating Windows security system : Crash;
- Synchronizing graphic card parameters in Full HD 1080p in 60Hz and 75Hz in Nvidia Config : Crash;
- Deleting and reinitializing FF14 config files in My Documents > Games : Crash;
- Tested in 60, 75 and unlimited FPS in FF14 config according to Hz : Crash;
- Changed install folder from my External SSD to my internal HDD : Crash;
- Switched back to old launcher : Crash;
- Tried to enter in the raid in both DF and PF : Crash;
- Tried in windowed, windowed without borders and full screen modes : Crash;
- Tried with and without my monitor : Crash;
- Did all my Windows updates : Crash;
- Downclocking GPU with MSI Afterburner : Crashed;
- Custom 3D presetting FF14 on Nvidia Control Panel using Fixed refresh rate and adaptive V-Sync : Crashed;
- Tried using W8 compatibility on launchers and FF14 DX11.exe + Admin : Crashed.

Today, seeing the advices given in other threads such as :

- Disabling overlays;
- Clean reinstalling drivers;
- Clean boot;
- Reinstalling game and clearing locally-saved data folder;
- Deactivating any anti-virus or firewalls;

I've (re)done these manips just to be sure and indeed, something has changed, but not really what I was expecting.

Well, now I'm not crashing anymore while attempting to enter in the raid because... I can't even got to there as I'm crashing while attempting to load the zone I'm currently in (Kholusia) ! Result, I can't even connect on the game...

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When you reinstalled the game, was it added to the C drive? If not, could you uninstall and reinstall it onto the C drive? While installing programs/games on secondary drives is normal for PC, Final Fantasy XIV communicates with the C drive constantly.

I did what you adviced and for now, I've been able to connect on the game and enter in the new 25 men raid without any issues so it seems installing it on my external SSD kinda blocked FF14 from communicating with my C Drive when I tried to enter in the raid... So for now, it seems to have worked, I'm going to do some tests today to see if I can "trigger" the crash but it's good sign.

That was a good advice Thank you !

EDIT : And yes when I reinstalled it, it was on my internal HDD D Drive, not on my internal SSD C Drive.

EDIT 2 : 11/11/2019 after 3 days, still no crashes.
