Mental exhaustion from combat

Does anyone else find that after a short time in an instance or battle of any kind their mind begins to tire and lose focus?

I dont experience it with any other MMO but for some reason in FFXIV when a fight starts? My mind begins to shut down.
Dunno if its from the strain of how long the fights are or something else.

Just curious if anyone else experiences it or knows why this happens? As noted its ONLY in FFXIV

Edit: I do get a little bleh myself, especially when
I had ran the same dungeon 400 billion times and I just get bored.

I just take a break for a while and come back. The treadmill tires me too.

That only happens to me at the end of a very tiring instance. Meaning Alliance Raid runs that are taking too long due to bad players, constant EX failures due to people not understanding mechanics, or just being overworked while tanking/healing due to a bad party.

Raid fatigue is a thing, how quick it can happen varies on the person.

I get something similar after a few hours of savage progging, it's just being a bit mentally tired from focusing too much for too long.

You just have to take a break from the game for a bit or go do something else less mentally taxing while your mind rests if it happens.

Yeah, problem i have is it happens very quickly lately, especially when i try to grind out fates for the gem vendor or try to do the copied Factory.
A single fate is normally all it takes.

It sounds like taking some time away from the game would do you some good. If a single fate is enough to make you tired. That tells me you need a break, even if it's only a short one. Perhaps play other jobs or jump something else entirely. It'll likely help in the long run.

Pretty much this. This week I focused on new patch stuff and didn't even bother reclearing Savage fights this week because I'm just bored of the same content.

You may just need a break. After a while of playtime my mind wonders too and I lose focus.
