Patch 5.1 final battle (spoilers, duh)

I'm failing this battle on Very Easy setting. Clearly I'm missing something, because when it goes invul & the message 'Unleash the rage of Nidhogg on the Garleans' starts spamming me, um - there are no Garleans. None. None up on the catwalk where I didn't even realize that one AoE reaches the 1st failed time through. N O N E. So I just run around & can't heal since I can't damage, & eventually die. Again.

I am getting so fricking sick of the skill creep in this game. Huzzah for the A-level gamers. Let's make everything Savage level, woo-hoo! *sigh*

Are there any tips that could allow a plain old scrub gamer to get through this & not be content blocked forever? I repeat: I FAILED ON VERY EASY SETTING.

Because apparently invul does NOT mean invul when it's 'cinematically convenient'. >/

Gotta say, that duty was pretty obvious about what it wanted you to do.

That's why it's important to carefully read the text box when your character spoke and to look at your hotbar

Yeah, what i did at the start of the fight was examine the 5 abilities it gave me. When i saw one was a limit break, i knew the fight was going to hinge on using it at the right time(otherwise it wouldnt even be there). Spammable damage move that also heals me? Im spamming that. Dot? Probly speeds up the fight to keep that running, ill use it when the DoT falls off. AoE on the GCD? Seemed useless til i saw the adds spawn out of reach, then its purpose was obvious. AoE off the GCD? Sprinkle in liberally for extra damage. Dodge attacks since i dont have a healer for backup, and wait for the que to apply limit break. All that info(aside from the adds being out of reach) was available in the instance itself before the fighting even started, and the strategy it leads to is a fairly easy winner. I didnt even know that the enemy went invuln, because as soon as i got the que to use my rage i hit the LB button and the fight ended.

Friend, I'm sorry to say but the 5.1 fight is nowhere near savage difficulty. You just had to press the LB that appears on your bar when it does.

this isn't savage level or even that difficult tbh.
i think its even below dungeons since you have a straight run with low enemies and you pretty much have 1 button press for each phase and lb when you are at the end and even then the characters text pretty much suggest which button to use during the boss.
so try to read the text more and i think you will do better
