Elecott - Goldsmith Guild Task - Improper Reward Given

As evidenced in this screenshot (cropped for size limitations in the lodestone) I was improperly rewarded for the turn in of the "Bone Hora" level 1 guild task. Hopefully this can be updated in a patch, to either change the associated dialogue or the reward.

I'm not begging for a handout, and don't expect to be compensated for this instance or future ones... But I do expect these little errors to be ironed out.

EDIT: I'm level 48 GS if that makes any sort of difference.

I've received less than 100 shards before too, I don't think it's a bug? The NPC says "Should the gods smile upon you" so I always thought it's kind of a "lotto" wheter you get 100 shards or not.

That's a good observation actually, I'd like confirmation though. What just strikes me as odd is the drastic difference between what I got and what it said. 5 vs 100 is drastically different if you focus on the numbers alone.

I appreciate the response, hopefully we'll get an answer.

This has been brought up many times, and the answer has always been the same, you are not guaranteed to get 100 shards, as MertonBranford says, that is if you are lucky.

Just take a look at the dialog, "a variety of rewards" and "you may well receive 100 shards", nowhere does it say you are guaranteed to get 100 shards.
