It would be cool if we could change our default posture and pose. Not out of all our emotes, but out of the basic default poses that we can stand in. I hate that my Hrothgar always hunches over for example. Let me pick the tall stance as default

... you already can with /cpose, or am I misunderstanding something?
I think it's meant to be understood as not needing to use /cpose, but your character automatically using one of the standard poses without requiring an idle timer. Like the standard for all characters is hands by their sides, but instead wanting maybe arms folded or standing up straight as the DEFAULT.
You can do that though. You set it once with cpose and it becomes default.

That probably won't happen since it would require every walk and run cycle to have a version tweaked specifically for transitioning into each idle pose. For what it's worth, setting Idle Animation Delay to 0 make the change to your current /cpose instantaneous.
I did not know there was an idle animation delay setting.
I just change mine to the minimum delay, so I'm instantly in the position I choose.

It's not instant though, even at 1 second delay.
