Is anyone actually buying materia from the pixies?

Not yet, but once my token high enough i will exchange for them to put in MB or simple just transmute, and i think those materia will make me do beast tribe quest longer than old content, because materia is useful until the end of xpac no mater what, in old content beast tribe offer somekind of rare material for craft but i stop doing that tribe once said material drop a price on MB

ARR you got a mount, two minions and some funishing. HW a mount each, music, glamour, two minions and two emotes. SB minions, music, emotes, furnishings and mounts. At least I can't remeber getting a second minion from SB unless it unlocks post aliance quest. Yes materia can easily be gotten from many other things, but so too can the things you seem to just be wishing wasn't locked behind a higher level of trust/fame. Concerning the Pixies start at level three it's even less of a grind.

I finished the ARR beast tribe questlines because I wanted to get the mounts. Then I saw how much it would cost to buy all of them so I still don't have them. :P Currently working on the HW beast tribes. Maybe one day I'll have enough money to buy all the rewards without going broke.

I also don't like that the ARR and HW beast tribe mounts cost gil. The SB beast tribes sell their mounts for their tribe currency, which is way better as you earn enough for the mount, minions and then some anyway.

In my experience, when it comes to mounts, there is always a tribe quest that has you utilizing the one they give you in some way. For example, the Ananta had both the marid and griffin mounts, with the former involving a quest to stomp ants and the latter to flap its wings to chase away bugs. Having had a ride on the pig mount today, it's a safe bet that that is the later reward if someone hasn't mined the list already.

This may have had someone weight way back in ARR when ranking up in beast tribes bordered on torture, but today, and especially with expansion beast tribes? The rewards fit the small investment perfectly.

Ummm plenty of folks raid as well as enjoy the story and characters...

Outside of mounts/pets I usually have little to nothing I want to spend beast tribe currency on. About the best I can come up with for the pixies is to buy materia to gamble with on transmutation in the hopes of getting crafting/gathering materia... but thats kinda wasteful tbh.

Do all the beast tribes have mounts and pets? I really don't want to spend months leveling up the older ones only to find they have nothing I want.

They all have a mount, minion and music. HW adds glamour and emotes.
