I still hope that this doesn't lead to the development team priortising feminine and androgynous aesthetics just because it ends up being 'easier' than designing a broad variety of options to account for different tastes. I also hope it isn't delaying the implementation of the highly requested stubble that is being shown in promotional imagery. It's made further frustrating by the simple fact that many of those requesting the gender locks to be removed do not even play a male character themselves. To say nothing of the track record of requests for masculine versions of things like the bunny suit being hijacked by those who want a straight up copy of the female attire instead of something better fitting for the male physique.
