If it was too easy I wouldn't have died because I was so busy raising literally everyone because they're level 80 and don't know what an AoE is. I never had time to heal myself because people got hit on every single attack. At the moment, it doesn't need to be made harder, unless somehow every player magically learns how to play at the same time.

They could not (and I repeat, could not) have made it a hard raid because around 90% of the players in there are only enduring such "hardcore high end pve content" (actual quote from someone with a weeb name and glam I saw inside) to get their pixel butt skin. This forum would be burning if they could not clear it with their usual 19 stacks of vulnerability up and a single carry player per alliance.

I finally did this raid myself today.

It doesn't help it's my first 24man, I never had time to do the previous ones, but...

I noticed that a lot of the mechanics were either difficult to see the markers/tells, or they gave you <1 second reaction time/margin of error and everything does 80% of your health in damage and puts vuln on you so that you're guaranteed to die next time you get hit unless you got some shielding on you.

I was getting hit by a lot of stuff I was like "Um, OK how I was supposed to dodge that again?" I'd be fine one second, and then dead the next when there were no tells, no glow, no ground markers, nothing. Just BOOM. dead. I can only assume it has to do with which way the boss is facing, but with 15+ people standing ontop of it, that was nearly impossible to tell which way it's facing amidst all the chaos.

I would have to say I don't really get the big "hoo-hah" over 24 man content. It's just a lot of chaos and I didn't find it particularly fun. I think the same thing could have easily be done with 8man content, with the one exception being that big boss in the center with the 3 platforms with one team on each platform.

Otherwise, just throwing more bodies and vastly inflating health pools to match didn't really make it any more fun than 8 man fights to be honest.

Keep in mind this is the first of the 3 raids.which tends to be the easiest. Its definitely more forgiving.

If you take this in contrast with the last raid who had a lot of "party b has to many deaths everyone will pay for it" copied factory allows for the other teams to carry.

Thundergod had 2 pads to stand on ... if 1 team was dead you died, also there was a fair chance they were far from the other healers which made rez annoying.

The factory equivalent of this would be engels meteors however the parties are close to each other and even with 1 full wiped party I'd think you can hold enough meteors to atleast not wipe.

While you can fall in engels theres no boss skill that takes advantage of this neither does the area restrict the player.

Theres also no pure chaos moments like in hashmal, and the legit one hit moves are very predictable.

Hashmal had towers that fell randomly ... and while those covered a much smaller area they still killed more then engels saw blade punches.

Why do i only mention engels? Cuz the first 2 are fairly easy (the combo of ground bombing and knockback can be annoying but anti knockback makes it trivial )

The last one is just a heal check and a "lets see how many stacks my tank gets to make the healer suffer"

So yea it is easier, does anyone know what happens on a party wipe in boss 2? Does he wipe the rest or are they simply dead.

Did you just generalize over a quote from one random person in a 24 man raid lol

I like it just the way it is, so for me they did great on the difficulty setting for the nier raid.

For me 24-man raids are a kind of weekly "get in / get out" kind of thing.
I really do not want to spend hours wiping in it.

    The difficulty is perfectly fine.
A run takes about 45-50min (sometimes longer), that's quite long, but ok.

Most players aren't that good, it's important to create alliance raids not that hard.
Otherwise it's just an annyoing wipefest...
For more difficult content there is savage or ultimate.

The optimist in me wants to say the community as a whole has just gotten better at dealing with this level of content. It's like how I started playing the game more around the time Ninja came out. I missed the entire pains and aches that Titan gave people, along with the latency issues. Still when I read about how difficult this fight use to be I find it hard to believe. I've even gone in to run it at the ilvl they were at during the content being relevant. As things get better, playing our jobs getting easier, the set difficulty from instances get easier along with it. Players are retaining knowledge of mechanics better, mind you I'm meeting the opposite side here halfway by admitting that the mechanics aren't really that difficult. As players are improving maybe it is time for the devs to reconsider the difficulty of casual content, if it's something the mass majority want, and not just the vocal minority.

In concerns to the raid itself I died plenty during my first, second, and third run. I've learned to run it like a machine now and kinda miss being surprised by the mechanics. I thought the devs mentioned they wanted to abandon the routine stuff and randomize boss mechanics a bit more? Also though I'm running this with clockwork execution I still love the raid. It may never happen but I'd love that air fighter as a mount by the end of the raids too.
