I just did it for the first time last night. I died a ton. But the group itself never wiped once. The fights have a lot of very annoying mechanics that feel really nuts to try and do perfectly(for now), but at the same time the penalties for screwing up seem mostly individual-based and very forgiving. My deaths and screw-ups didn't seem to affect the rest of the raid's well-being at all. You can make tons of mistakes and the alliance as a whole still just keeps on chugging through the fight. Notorious raids like Weeping City and Orbonne were "difficult" only in the sense that there were certain mechanics that needed done just right or the entire raid just flat out wiped right there. I never saw anything here that was like that. And quite frankly, I don't mind that at all.

A lot more things other players, especially tanks, can use to kill you. Other than that, though, by the sixth run or so (my loot luck is horrible), it just felt kinda... long, compared to most raids. I enjoyed it the first time, but I doubt this will be one I look forward to coming back to as I had with some of the HW and SB raids.

The difficulty of this raid is as it should be. Would you rather have it a 2h long wipefest?

Seemed fine to me, though I'm admittedly more on the casual side of things. Lots of ways to die, and die quickly, but very little that will completely wipe the raid. Lots of room for heroics and recoveries and not much of a painful slog.

I like the difficulty for the first part. It's a good intro and I think that it would be better if each raid were gradually more difficult instead of one just destroying everyone who isn't prepared. I.e. Rabanastre.

People been wiping on those for first few weeks straight until they became familiar and overgeared. But it was super fun learning new raids step by step. And on my first run of Copied, a day since its release, it felt like its a month since, people already know everything and now just rush it for coin. Even first timers didnt die as much.

Also I got used since Ozma that third boss in any 24man raid is the hardest, with exception of Rofocale maybe. Did you see that absolute joke Engels? No tricky alliance mechanics which if one party fail to do its a wipe, absolutely unintersting move sets, dodge an obvious mechanic here, dodge an obvious attack there. Compare it to first week of Ozma or first week of Thunder God. Super boring. I think even the first boss was more harder than the third.

Overall, its a total disappointment. It looks sick from the visual side but gameplay wise just felt like a long expert roulette dungeon. I do have a slight hope though that it will redeem itself with new raids and they will have more interesting and trickier mechanics. But so far its a complete joke.
If you need challenge go Primals Ex, Savage or Ultimate. Alliance is only for fun and fan service. It's often easy but ppl chain slack aoe and die.
Don't ask too much to a raid without vocal.

And... Nier Automata x FFXIV is so cool and epic !

You do know challenging content can be fun too right? How do you think everyone felt beating TG Cid the release of 4.5? for Orbonne I felt absolutely amazing because that fight required EVERYONE to be in sync and know what was happening. That's the joy we need in alliance raids and it was an example the dev team could manage a little fragment of the fun something like BA could offer on a weekly basis. Yeah it was frustrating for some but I loved it and can still do that fight from tells alone.

This raid as a whole was pretty much the same level as Rabanastre to me, which is what Yoshi-P said he wanted to be the difficulty to be. Engels is absolutely the idiot check as it has movements to pay attention to, and an add phase for tanks to handle. Really thought 9S and Engels should have been swapped personally in the order but it's fine since they were both fun. I can safely say this is a raid you can completely recover from Hobbes only needing one alliance alive to complete anyway. So in terms of running weeklies and new people it'll be much easier for them to clear later on then Orbonne.

I hope and I'm sure the difficulty will rise overtime.

Did you run it day one, or did you just recently run it, because that will make all the difference.

This is the first 24 man raid folks consider worth farming even once they're locked from their weekly gear and that's due to the 2B outfit that is not weekly locked.

That being the case there are groups (or individuals) that are going to be far better than others because they have the mechanics down to an art due to their excessive runs.

Also, all the first tier 24 mans of each expansion were "easy" (although void ark still was the easiest of the four) compared to the ones that followed.
