Commed a tank in the grand cosmos cause the dps kept pulling before them.
Tank was fine, kept aggro, CDs were spot on, they were new to the dungeon, I had no trouble healing them.

My last group went into the dungeon saying nothing and left the dungeon without saying anything. Well, they did: The healer asked for larger pulls but let the tank nearly die several times which made that one sentence even worse, almost comically ironic. I bowed as greeting and bowed when I left, but man, the fact the MVP window came up offended me slightly.
People get more and more anti-social in an MMO and everyone who is silent is out of any competition. Especially when I can see they are playing on controller judging by their "analog way" of turning. If you can't be bothered to communicate with fellow players, why would you expect a commendation?
Normally, it goes:
* Lalafell
* Red Mage
* The one who talks in proper sentences, macros and "lol wtf UwU" does not count
* Bunny
* Male Mi'Cat
But it requires that you talked or responded to me. It often feels like I am playing a PlayStation 1 game in 1997 instead of a MMO because other people rate everything else more important than their fellow players they agreed to get a a job done with, which is rude.
Weird, huh, that combat skills do matter less then social skills?
Sincerely,

Healer comm's the tank,
Tank comm's the healer,
DPS comm's DPS.
Based on my class, that's always been my rule. Unless someone really messes up I don't break it.

2 runs of copied factory on my MCH in hopes of getting some of the non weekly lockout items.
First run I gave it to the dragoon in exchange of getting his red friendship tether
Second run I gave it to the bard because we ranged bros gotta stick together
else I just follow the general rule of:
tank -> healer or whoever
healer -> tank or co healer
dps -> dps
Mmm... Copied Factory, gave it to the Rdm Au ra. The rest of the party were lalafell or scantily clad miqote. Chose the lesser of three evils.
I heal mostly and I always comm my tank unless he is bad. If I dps I'll normally comm the other dps unless the tank or healer did something really special.
An arcanist in Sasastsha yesterday - it was their first time, they actually said so and did decent for that level. The tank we got was also annyoing - one of those chain-pulling people, starting to run away to grab the next group while the first still had half their HP, so no commendation for them.
Practically the same time, as in: yesterday evening: A summoner in expert roulette - did a whole lot of damage, mobs died before I even had a chance to start my pld-casting-rotation.
I usually only commend people who impress me either through their playstyle or their attitude. FemRoes get first dibs, but they wont get my commendation if they dont play and/or act well. If no one fits that bill, I simple dont commend anyone.
This thread is precisely why it is almost impossible to get an astronomical amount of comms, lol.
I was as BLM in copied factory and gave it to a SMN who was competing with me for top dps the whole time... and of course he also raised some people.
I comm people that play their job well AND are social in the dungeon. If I wanted to run a dungeon with zero conversation I would go with a squadron or trusts.
