Please change Rendering priorities during hunts

There has to be some way that the A rank/S rank mobs can be prioritized so they are not constantly disappearing on us during hunts when there are many people in the zone, right?

I've been having a lot of trouble with hunt trains, because I can't see the mob every other second so I have no idea if I need to run away, run toward it, get to sides, etc because I can't even see the mob let alone it's cast bar.

And a few times I've had trouble even tagging it. I have a better computer now, so I can usually tag it at least once but this must be a nightmare for ps4 users and those with less powerful computers.

Since SE never fixes I suggest all people that are able to stand back and spread out. That really helps with rendering. People all run up on the boss and he disappears. Here's yer sign hehe.

A lot of the new A ranks have mechanics in which staying close to the boss is the best way to stay alive.

For those few, yes, the rest, no and I am ranged. The rendering issue has been going on forever and now exacerbated with X-worlds. The bosses were not meant to be assaulted by 50-100 people in one small area. They won't fix so we have to adapt.

They already give rendering priority to S ranks so we know it is possible. It would be interesting to hear why SE is not willing to do it with A ranks.

It's not influenced solely by what system you use to play the game. Plenty of PS4 users, even those without SSDs, report no issues during hunts.

The speed of your internet connection also plays a role. I know a few people who haven't changed their system but did upgrade to a higher speed connection in recent months and they've told me it has made a considerable difference in rendering at hunts.

You're going to have problems if you're at 250 kps while others are at 3 mps or better regardless of what system you're using. The game is shooting a lot more data at you when you're in a group of 100 players all in combat that when you're in a 4 man dungeons or standing around in Limsa.

A better system will also help, of course, but getting a better connection might be a simpler solution for some players.

Q: With the World Visit system now in place, it's harder to see a Hunt enemy's actions due to the number of players, so I would like to see adjustments on display priority. Furthermore, the speed in which it gets taken down is much faster now, so it's harder to join in casually. I would like to see something like Hunts which can be only done with players from Home World players to be considered.

A: I think changing it to be Home World-only isn’t the way to go about it. Although there may be a lot of players right now since the expansion was just released, I think things will gradually calm down, so please think of it as a special period for now. Adjusting the display priority would cause a lot of strain, so it would impossible to adjust it for A rank hunts.

On PS4, was going for the manticore hunt in Il Mheg. Got there just as people engaged(could see this in my party action usage). Was DNC so I ran in and spammed AoE since it's non-targeted, tried to stay where people looked to be fighting. I think the hunt target was at around 20% when it finally showed up. That's a long time for a where I couldn't target it, happy I wasn't on a caster that needs a target. For reference, according to my PS4 speed check I got 15Mbps down, 3.5Mbps up.

But again, why is it a strain for A ranks when it is not a strain for S ranks?

You are correct Jo, I ask myself that question also. On A trains, I have to often switch to heals and spam an invisible boss to get credit, hoping that the tank(s) get enough agro to make it a full one. S ranks, I never have an issue. Also, I have Spectrum's highest internet speed and my connection is always excellent. Due to SE's unwillingness to accomodate A ranks with decent rendering, I would like to see the "get a hit, get full credit" like S ranks have.

Yoshi stated during one of the Q&A sessions that they would monitor the situation and make changes as necessary. He also said that he expected it to settle down after the instances were removed.
Well, newsflash "IT HASN'T". Trains are still the same moving from server to server. The same shortsightedness was seen recently after the Ishgard Resto patch.
An easy way to fix this so everyone is happy would be to have to same rendering rules that apply to S ranks apply to A ranks as well. Simple fix but why aren't they willing to use it?
