    Let's add a Personal Garden/Hatchery feature!

    The game seems to have a problem where very few players have direct access to the more complex aspects of gardening. I would propose that tying in with the next GC rank, the player could be given the chance to govern a few resources. They would gain access to one Deluxe Garden Patch, and a multi-tiered hatchery. The player could then either set one of their squadron to watch either the garden or hatchery until the task is complete (this costs a rather hefty amount of GC seals and causes that squad mate to be "busy") or they can do the daily maintenance themselves.

    How would a Hatchery work?

    You start by placing up to 6 eggs into the hatchery. On the next two subsequent days (real time) you must feed the fish, and on the third day you can pick up the result.

    What would you feed the fish?

    Feed is created by Culinarians and are separated by type and grade. The grade determines the strength of the effect provided by the feed, and the lowest grade is always available via the Housing Provisioner. The feed can be used to increase the chance of an HQ fish, increase the chance of getting a higher yield of fish, or increase the chance of getting eggs of that particular fish when harvesting.

    How do you get eggs?

    When you desynthesize a fish, you have a very small chance of finding an egg of that particular fish. Additionally, you can find "Unidentified eggs" of common and uncommon rarities from fishing. You won't know exactly what fish will come from these, but the area you found them in will of course have an affect (You won't find an ARR fish from an egg you found in a Stormblood area). Besides the normal fish, this update would add new exotic sea life that can only be found and hatched from blue rarity "Unidentified eggs."

    What would I do with "exotic" fish?

    In addition to being ingredients for new Culinarian dishes that "Grant +5% exp boost for 30 min (up to 60 min)," they would also all have the same desynthesize item pool. They would grant ingredients to make a solvent from Alchemists that are integral for the next set of Primal Weapon glamours. They of course would also be available for aquariums.

    Your thought is very interesting, and clearly well thought out, but it may be a bit redundant.

    They've mentioned farms for us before, or maybe it was greenhouses, that will be implemented at some point to allow larger scale gardening and such. Though I absolutely wouldn't mind the idea of a fish hatchery or a rookery or other animal farming being part of that concept if it's not already!
