Such a disgusting era where everyone didnt even play properly, except for players I can count with one single hand, everyone else just did their pve rotation or spammed heals with unoptimized cd usages with no sense of awareness and game knowledge to optimally trade cds like how this specific patch encourages most as skill. I wonder when these casual/"hardcore" 3.x players will get it through their skull that button bloat and unbalanced numbers =/= a good mode, and that anyone who didnt play said time isnt forever a bad or inferior player for just that fact. Just another case of 3.xers boomer syndrome of acting superior for having experienced the depths of pvp hell or something, even though anyone with any semblance of pvp mentality wouldve conquered the leaderboards back then because everyone was clueless, and to a large extent people still are, 5 years later. Terribly disappointing, on all fronts
Yeah you can probably be good in both versions of PvP with the right mentality, like you said. But it seems like you have no clue how situational it used to be, we had so many toolkits to counter buffs with, so many mitigation tools for ourself. We had critical damage too that required constant awareness. We had to facetarget to hit autoattacks, our melee range was only 3y. We had positionals lol. We had gear that mattered in PvP. We had PvP rezzes during the match. We had 10stack medal memes that too 120% more dmg.
Even if that was not the perfect PvP, or most desirable PvP, it all created more depth, you had to really get into it to be able to play it properly. That entry skill level is completely gone now. (Which is not really bad) I just think, you shouldn't meme it down to 1shot bursts, every class was viable and unique in there, that was kinda the beauty - when you can stun somebody for 6s and pacify for another 5s and remove his "1 shot buffs with buff removing skills" it's not that unbalanced as you see it. At least when people played properly.

I know these mch with 90% winrates ye, but when they hit the top games, they lost more too....

Like, using the right skills, at the right time is what is "skilled play", if you have only skills that can be spammed and are ready every few seconds, you can't do much wrong. This is why we needed or still need a few buttons more, situational powerful offglobals would atm be best...
