Ok, so who else plays during the morning on the NA servers and because of the change to 72 man only on Frontlines basically can't play PvP at all anymore. I mean at all is being a bit over dramatic but I generally play from 5:30am - 1pm and SOMETIMES after 1pm. However, 80% of my playtime now, I cannot do PvP whatsoever. During the week finding 72 people for PvP during my playtime hours is basically impossible. Today I waited 300+ minutes in queue. I will ONLY be able to get a group at 11am onward and that's because of roulette. Prior to the change, even though they weren't every 5 minutes, I was still able to play a game every 10 - 20 minutes because they allowed 24 man groups in frontlines. I don't want to rag on SE but your game isn't THAT popular that it has thousands of people logged in during the morning hours. I'm sure many of you will say... "Oh well you don't just have to play frontlines, try the feast." Well, since the patch day, I've waited 2+ hours for feast matches with no success as well. Yes, I know a lot of people are doing PvE now because of the patch but come on... in regards to frontlines, even before the patch I doubt any 72 man matches would have been possible in the morning hours on almost any day of the week. (Sometimes yes it happened on Sat+Sun mornings). I just wanted to get this off my chest because I really enjoy PvP and now that I can barely play it anymore, I am very very frustrated and I don't understand the logic behind the decision. How could letting people play in 24 man groups disrupt anything in a major way? I just ugh... I'm really upset.

It just happens, NA servers are just absolutely dead for PvP in mornings. Afternoons and evenings however, I've had no issues matching up quickly. I do have a bit of a concern over the loss of 24 mans but it really stunk having a 24 man match on whats clearly a 72 man map. So I'm a bit on the fence both ways.

imo I would've been happier if they just made modes/maps for 24 man's too. But given their lack of attention to PvP in general....I'm not betting on it.

I do think people who played PvP during graveyard hours will suffer with the removal of 24 player frontlines, this is for sure.

Though you have to keep in mind the fact there are also many people putting it off. I was doing PvP every day before 5.1 but I am also a crafter and love the world elements of the game so I probably won't touch PvP for at least a week. I love it but don't feel a sense of urgency and will check it out later, and I am sure many people feel the same way. While I saw many people previewing the new gear I don't know how many of those people are farming marks for it, especially if they banked wolf marks before the patch. Like, imagine if they made the 2b outfit coffer or some of these crafting materials available for wolf marks. You'd see those queues moving pretty dang quick.

The only thing actively going in Frontlines is just the usual three. Revival Wings is taking a break which requires less people so it's either late night feast or late night frontline matches. Once Onsal Hakair drops people will be running Frontlines much more often (especially during peak times).

Yeah I foolishly tried to get my roulette bonus from yesterday before the reset today, and wasted 2 hours for nothing.

If there is such a big population disparity between the two NA data centers... why not just merge them into one? As it is, all the servers are located in California anyways. At least that is my guess since I get a 68ms ping on Crystal which apparently before the merges was supposed to be the "east coast" server. East Coast servers I should get 10 - 3ms. Gigabit fiber here, I can get a 3ms ping up to 500 miles away. Drops off pretty significantly after 500 miles though... although the servers could also be in Oregon or Washington state. I don't understand why they'd keep all the servers on the west coast also, all the people live on the East Coast. Only like 65 million people on the West Coast, the east is like oh... 150 million +.

I know many people see no point to playing pvp without a huge bonus of some sort, but personally... I just enjoy pvp for the fun of it. So I dunno if anyone else feels this way.

I feel the same way. PvP is just fun for me. The bonuses are just a cherry on top. But you are right, many think PvP is pointless without some sort of reward.

I use my Elemental alt for FLs because it's the only place I can seem to queue whenever I want and get a pop in less than a decade.

The concern of decreasing pvp-pops was mentioned by the Players immediatly after the Liveletter. Sadly they kept it this way. The only thing we can do is giving continuous feedback and hope they change that back so we can have 24 again.
