Highly enjoyed it, even did it blind with 23 other people in discord and there was so much screaming and wackiness. I've run it two more times since then trying to get the drops.

I really feel like they should have swapped the third and fourth boss around however. I like the final boss but I think it would have been much cooler to fight the third at the end to give even people who just start playing Automata an even more hype experience they can relate to as the closer.

The factory is probably the ugliest part of Nier Automata but I understand why we are going there first.
I hope we get better locals for the 2nd and 3rd parts.

Seriously. I loved it. My wife also loved it. It was very hard compared to past raids in our opinions. I personally found it easy enough to "challenge me" without giving me too much stress at the same time. XD

The music was some of the best in game. The AoE designs were awesome to see. The mechancis are fun. Theres different mechanics depending on which platform you are on too.

About it being "a bit too hard" for some of you, I seriously dont mean this in a bad way. Not at all, I swear. Though, I do feel maybe you are just *cough*bad.*cough* I know, i know, Im sorry. Give it some more practice and see if you change your mind about it being "too hard." As another user said, the aoes are actually more simple than they seem.

If you dont like Nier or the art style/lore..then yeah. No helping it. Im sorry that you couldnt enjoy it as I had.

I enjoyed it despite never having played any of the Nier games (On a ever growing list of games to play) - It did feel like a totally different game not FFXIV but that's to be expected considering its a cross over - Loved the music I really need to play Automata.

There's more to the raid than people are giving credit because of Drakengard and NieR Gestalt/Replicant. The final area where it looks like its snowing is especially vital. I knew this would happen, people complaining because they didn't recognize something that would set off several red flags. It still makes me cringe.

It was different, and potentially fun if I can stay alive. I died about 20 times on my first run. There won't be a second until I've watched a few instruction videos.

There is absolutely no need for that. Here. Not even a guide, just a player who fumbles buttons but still cleared.

Never played any of the Tier games but I honestly quite enjoyed the raid TBH. It's maybe a bit too easy overall? But at least there's enough mechanics that will eventually kill you if you keep napping.

I also quite liked the visual style of the raid tbh. It's enough of a contrast without feeling completely out of place that it felt pretty fresh to me.

I actually asked myself a similar question; how did they not see all that? They have Amaro. Eulmore, a military power who would most definitely patrol their borders, has airships. Kholusia is SW of the rest of Norvrandt. It would have been literally impossible for everyone to have missed everything that was in that valley from the sky.

It's called the Copied Factory, which has me believe that everything behind the door the two dwarves blew up is all artificial, the sky included. Basically, it's all underground.
Why NieR stuff is in FFXIV can also be explained via one of NieR: Automata's endings, too. Wouldn't be the first time Yoko Taro used an ending of one game (Drakengard's E ending, where Caim and the Red Dragon end up in Tokyo) to start a new story (NieR)... the real question is how it ended up on a Shard, though.

I personally enjoyed it heaps.
The music, the boss fights and mechanics, the scenery, the characters, the item drops!
I loved it all.

Hopefully the next 2 raids will be more enjoyable for the people that didn't end up liking this one ;; !
