I've had this same problem since the update went live. I've tried multiple fixes such as;
IE Explorer settings
Changing Firewall settings
DNS settings
Port forwarding
System driver updates
Running as administrator
Nothing has fixed the issue.

there is emergency maint today, hopefully they fix the issue as i have the problem too.
try switching back to the dark colored launcher. the new light colored one wouldn't install the update for me.
ive been having the same problem, switching to the old dark colored launcher didnt work.
nothings working for me still, tried to do everything and nothing, also nothing was done during the maintenance...
i hope they find a fix for it.

What you are describing is a connectivity issue between your home network and the game server. Unfortunately, if the troubleshooting you've already tried hasn't resolved the issue, it may stem from some place outside of your home network. In this case, we recommend contacting your ISP and making a report with them.

It isn't us, it's you. The canned response of ethernet cables, dns flushes, router ports have been addressed by tons of people as not working. No other canned responses such as reinstalling, or anything else is going to fix this. If I can't update by tuesday sub is done and back to classic wow. Everyone who has this problem across the world just cancel your sub on tuesday as well, maybe they will care. Perhaps put out a manual patch we can download and use.
Why not just put up the patch on a zip file where we can manually download , i mean come on SE you guys made me jump throught hoops of fire for 3 days now to try to solve this issue thats magically ONLY FOR YOUR GAME (i play everquest and wow on the side and can you imagine that i have 0 problem with their patcher?) Cancelling my sub now , enjoy your shit storm
It's just this newest patch they brought out. It broke alot of things. I've never had problems updating before, but i don't want to cancel my sub because I've put over $1000 into the game. In the form of Subs and other items
