    Checking the FF XIV Updater/Launcher Version

    Hello everyone,

    i've got an issue ever since 5.1 hit.

    I was able to download the patch yesterday and play for 4 hours and then i decided to go sleep.

    Now since i'm awake (5 hours) i'm trying to launch but it gets stuck at the boot version

    Tried uninstalling the game and installing it again, but i'm still stuck there now..

    Changed my DDS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but still doesn't work..

    I use the steam version of the game..

    This pops after a while..

    with the boot64 it works. but since i'm using the steam version..

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Could you try launching Final Fantasy XIV through the Windows launcher? The error message received could be caused by the fact that the Windows version of the game is being opened through Steam.
