DirectX 11 Errors

Same errors for me since 2/3 days, have no solution about it. I reinstalled the game, as well as my windows, and graphic card drivers, I went back on Directx 9, I have minimized the graphic qualities, download the old graphic card, but still nothing. I often crash when I’m on a Shadowbringers map, for now I can't even log on because I'm stuck on the Lakeland map, on the loading screen.

I’ve never had this kind of problem in more than 8 months and I’ve always been able to run the game in maximum capacity

It's not a problem from my computer, everything's clear so I really don't understand why I keep crashing with this kind of message

Both me and my wife have been having the same issue, in heavily loaded areas(Lots of other players around) or in dungons/raids. It has happened multiple times since 5.1 came out, including 3 times today in the span of 45 mins.

Both PCs are using current GPU drivers, have been reinstalled multiple times.

Makes the game almost unplayable, anytime I am tanking a raid and the game freezes or just throws a DX Error I have to restart the game and hope I make it back in time so no one is dead.

I was only able to catch a screenshot of my DX error.

Sounds the same as most of us in this thread since the patch. I recommend creating a separate thread with your system config dump (via the FFXIV launcher) and describing your problem. I also recommend posting what troubleshooting steps you've done in that thread. Hopefully a mod will respond to you individually about the issue.

Same problem here, got these error messages when I tried to enter in Copied Factory new raid. Kept crashing on loading screen until I got kicked out of the instance.

Clean reinstalled graphic card driver (GTX 1060 laptop), still crashing. I'll probably try to reinstall the game.

I'm wondering why the error date is from a week ago though...

- Unplugging all my devices and switching off bluetooth : Crash,
- Deactivating Windows security system : Crash,
- Synchronizing graphic card parameters in Full HD 1080p in 60Hz and 75Hz in Nvidia Config : Crash,
- Deleting and reinitializing FF14 config files in My Documents > Games : Crash,
- Tested in 60, 75 and unlimited FPS in FF14 config according to Hz : Crash,
- Changed install folder from my External SSD to my internal HDD : Crash,
- Switched back to old launcher : Crash,
- Tried to enter in the raid in both DF and PF : Crash,
- Tried in windowed, windowed without borders and full screen modes : Crash,
- Tried with and without my monitor : Crash,
- Did all my Windows updates : Crash.

Only thing that changed after reinstalling the game was I am now crashing without the above-mentionned error pop-up, loading screen is now freezing then back to desktop.

If anyone has another ideas excepting buying a new computer, that would be nice... !

Following this previous post I've tried some other things :

- Downclocking GPU with MSI Afterburner : Crashed,
- Custom 3D presetting FF14 on Nvidia Control Panel using Fixed refresh rate and adaptive V-Sync : Crashed,
- Tried Kejoca advices by using W8 compatbility on launchers and FF14 DX11.exe + Admin : Crashed.

However, I've had some "new" error popup window which mentionned d3d11.exe errors instead of dx11.exe ones. I've tried to disable Direct 3D Acceleration cause I remembered having issues with it when I was on W7 for some old games but it doesn't seem to be possible on W10...

Now I'm going to try something absolutely stupid but if that works, I'll laugh very hard (Uninstalling my GPU driver and install the oldest one I can find (2017). I'll post the result when I'll manage to find a Copied Factory party... (Probably tomorrow or tuesday) so if someone wants to try before, he's welcome to !

Same problem but when trying to enter the 5.1 MSQ dungeon. I can log in fine once my character times out of the instance, but any attempt to go into it causes an instant crash with no error. I tried both DX11 and DX9 and updated my graphic driver (I use NVIDIA GTX 1070). It's only affecting the NEW content for me.

UPDATE: I finally got a dx11 error after trying turning off overlays and going to fullscreen instead of windowed-fullscreen mode. Same crash, but this time I took down my info:

Same issue as other stated, i get errors when in eulmore and when exiting a dungeon/raid.

i had to change my screen to 60hz and cap fps to 60, if the refresh rate is any higher i would get the error, it seemed to work but then now im getting the damn error ppl are getting and cant downloa patch files so cant confirm that it indeed did work.

I'm also getting the same issue had no crashing issues til the current patch.
I've tried uninstalling the game and and reinstalling, thought it might be a graphics driver issue, updated to the most recent nividia drivers for my gtx 1060 and the issue is still there, I've reinstalled directx11 that didn't fix it, I've tried changing my in game graphic settings that didn't seem to do anything until I changed the frame rate cap from 60 fps to 30 fps and then to uncapped which caused the game to crash I was Eulmore at the time so that might of helped cause the crash I was also moving the camera around at the time which might of helped.

Also it's not just in Eulmore where the crashes have been happening for me I've crashed going into the new 24 man raid even in the middle of doing the raid, inside the new dungeon, in Kugane after teleporting and running to the pier where the eureka npcs are, in front of my house in shirogane while standing around doing nothing with no one else around
