    How SE is alienating talented players

    This is not a QQ post, more of a ZZZ post.

    Just wondering how many of the "elite" players/LSes are just fed up with CC and AV speed runs/ the game in general.

    We have been farming CC on the regular to being with, but this weekend we decided to go non-stop, periodically. We have just done 25-30 speed runs in the past day and a half a row and got ZERO Darklight gear. Meanwhile, random people are getting drops on non-speed runs.

    There seems to be something wrong with this reward system. You complete the dungeon faster than 95% of the people, get no drops, then have to wait 15 minutes just to re-enter. Anyone think that wins should be automatic reentry with the abysmal drop rates they have? Three of our LS members, who are madly in love with the game, over the past two days have grown to hate the game. Clearly something is wrong with this picture.

    1 DD curiass, 3 heavy DL gloves, 1 DL dd boots in 85-100 runs (I lost track). A majority of them being speed runs. Mathematically speaking, that's absurd.

    Go back and forth between the dungeons, no real reason to sit out there and wait unless people want afk breaks. But yes the runs get old fast. It's more about your luck of the draw than any real skill.

    Other mmo's hide this better with longer lockouts and higher drop rates, which to be honest at this point I'd rather have. You're looking at well over 2000 runs to even get a linkshell of 15 one full set of darklight.

    I agree with Madruk gives us better drop rates and longer lock outs.

    I remember when mentioning something like long lockouts was asking to be flamed to death here. People screamed for the near instant re-entry and they got it.

    Yeah... I'm on the fence with that issue since my playtimes are all over the clock, but just to be the devil's advocate... the problem with longer lockouts is peoples' schedules. Player A can play for 10 hours on Monday, Player B can play for 2 hours a day Monday through Friday. Player B can probably run the dungeon 5 times a week, while Player A only gets one chance weekly, even though they'd both be willing to dedicate the same amount of time. :/ Besides, if someone really wants to run it back-to-back, let them.

    Also, it would be different if there were 5-15 different endgame events you could choose from on separate timers, rather than the ~5 we have now (At best, DH, CC, TAV, Ifrit, Moogle and maybe coffers/stronghold NMs, if you count them.) If we were locked out for a substantial amount of time, we would literally run out of things to do after 5 hours (after all 50s). Some of these events become worthless to individuals over time as they get 7/7 primal weapons, the valuable loot from chests, leaving even less to do. So at least until we get more options, leave lockouts low. Please. Spamming 1-2 dungeons is boring, sure; but it's less boring than doing 1-2 dungeons and then sitting in Ul'dah for several hours or a day, or whatever.

    Kinda off-topic, sorry >.>: just responding to the sudden burst of "LONGER LOCKOUT!" requests.

    I do agree that there's an issue, but I haven't played enough of the new dungeons to be able to comment.

    Agreed. I think it would help curb burnout.

    I like this but it should be, you have as many tries as you want but get locked out after win. I'd say an 4 hr wait or something.
