    That's interesting, the biggest gate for new players has always been the ARR wall of fetch quests and slow, boring combat at low level. Anyone I've ever recommended the game to, who later decided it wasn't for them has given the same complaints. You even see people in novice network or shout trying to encourage the new players to stick with it, promising it will get better later.

    If they want to focus on bringing new players in I think they missed the mark.

    Is it just me, or somewhere around 3.3 - 3.5, people (on the forums anyway) started wanting more casual and/or dumbed down mechanics? Their opinions did a 180. Before that, people seemed to be 100% fine with the game.

    ......what happened?
