You got 10 MSQ quests, an EX Trial, a new dungeon and 5 Raid Quests and a new raid and people think they deserve MORE? Just because you want to blast through it one evening doesn't mean people who...I don't know...work full time and have a life might take a bit longer. Also, let us remember how few quests were added in the updates for Stormblood. SE could easily start saying...well here's 2-3 MSQ quests and that is all your getting and now enjoy waiting another 4 months.

Not that I'm complaining, especially since I've enjoyed Nier and have yet to touch the MSQ myself. Lets not pretend this will take longer than a weekend at the very least. And that assumes you play at a rather slow pace already. People really need to stop acting like a handful of quests take weeks to complete even if you have a full time job.

And while SE could say that, they wouldn't because it people would inevitably unsub, which loses them money.

The content they added will last a week at most if you play an average of about an hour a day. Then it's just repeating the content endlessly.

I don't think I deserve more, but I also don't think they deserve my continued subscription money. I only sub when there's new content and only for a month. I'd sub for longer if they allowed me to subscribe on a playtime-based model, or if they introduced something like the WoW Token, but they aren't doing that.

Maybe this game isn't for you and it is time you hang it up? If the story is so atrocious to you, then it isn't for you. Move on. Be happy. No need to dwell in a game that you hate every aspect of.

Been here since beta v1 in 2010, I know they can do better. There is nothing wrong with holding them up to already established standards especially when the storyline of this patch dropped the ball so heavily when it came to story across the board. Sorry for not being a apologist for SE like so many ppl think we should. Criticism isn't always a bad thing. But blowing rainbows up someone's bottom because you are blinded by fandom, definitely is. Why would anyone improve or even hold constancy if they were given a free pass on everything they did, regardless on how poor the quality of that thing is. Plus who said I hate every aspect of this game? I wouldn't have been here so long if I did. Jumping to conclusions is fanboy chapter 1 I know, but dang you went there fast.

"just leave then!" to any criticism of a single patch in a game is about is silly of an answer as you can get. At least take the time to build a decent argument and put at least minimal effort into creating a dialog. If you can tell me why the second half of the msq is in any way good story telling, relevant to the msq instead of a side quest line, which is frankly where it should have been, or even well written, I would love to hear it. Please, the stage is yours, give me your analysis of the events of the second half of the msq. And be sure to defend your thesis.
