so many of us are having an issue with not being able to download patch and its clearly not on our side, everyone has tried so many diferent things to get it working and nothing

Yet you are able to acknowledge there is a problem with the new raid but ignore all of us not able to log into the game. If you at least put an announcement saying you are looking into the issue we would be more patient but we are yet to know anything.....

I've only found 2 relatively recent threads on update issues, one was yours with no responses and the other of the 9 replies it had a couple of them were yours. Not saying the problem doesn't exist or shouldn't be fixed, but doesn't seem as wide spread as you are making it out to be. Of course people could just not be talking about it on here. Hopefully the issue, whatever it may be that is causing it, gets resolved soon for you and others though!

I was only able to download the 5.1 patch by switching to the old launcher (which you are currently able to do in the settings).

The only trouble I had was on my 2nd computer which had Windows 7 on, where the launcher was black after the initial launcher update.
A internet explorer update to v 11 solved that problem.

As far as I know, the new launcher couldn't show the progress of patching, but it actually still do the patching in the background (your cursor sometimes blinking when the new launcher is open to indicates the patching is in progress)
by switching to the old launcher, you could see the progress...

if you talk about the [random error code], some of my friends said it usually because of vpn, either you need to use vpn or you should turn off your vpn, or something like that

ive tried downloading the patch with the VPN on (and set for different cities/countries) and that didnt help, tried doing it with the VPN off and that didnt work either
