    runtime error c++ abnormal program termination

    hello i'm getting this runtime error when i try to install ffxiv

    things to note:
    -i have done the basics (ran the installer as admin... restart comp... etc)
    -completely fresh install on this computer (as in it was factory reset just a few hours ago)
    -this computer was factory reset as well with only minimum programs i've downloaded on it
    that wasn't any different than the programs i had before the factory reset so i'm not sure why it's conflicting
    -i also tried to see if installing and updating all my windows updates would help but it didn't
    -tried uninstalling all visual c++ runtimes i had (about four or five of them) then resintalling only the latest one

    can anyone help?

    you did it wrong, you need specific visual c++ runtimes for each program.
    you cant just install the newest one, each game may need another version which it was built from.

    Visual C++ Runtimes 2005, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017

    search on the web maybe you will get an installer for all of them.
