Watching forum drama be like

It is kind of annoying just in that you sometimes end up killing a handful of other enemies before yours because they all pop in the same place. I haven't found it to be a big deal though. I can understand it being an issue where the intention of the spawned monster was to be challenging for you and you alone, but I can't recall any time where I felt this was intended (and they usually do stuff like that in special instances anyway).
"Serves them right" is pretty much a direct implication that you think it's a punishment. You're not really correct on that, but it's still clear that's what you think. Also I don't think I ever said "I'll punish these people for trying to help me", so I don't know where you keep getting that from, Mr. Strawman.

This thread is a joke and I hope to god its a troll. I cannot believe how anyone would think this is an issue worth its own thread. The people killing your mobs are in no way doing it out of malice. Some probably do not think twice about lending a hand to a fellow player. I'm glad people like this are extremely rare. I would hate to ever meet one of you.

Visit the hunt board and grab your weekly B mark. Intentionally keep your ilv at a range so it poses a threat to you; lose your chocobo; enjoy! Is there no way to lock spawned quest mobs to only be killable by the person who spawned them? This always annoys me at patch time, new quests.. Hundreds of people at spawn point mass killing whatever pops. I want to be able to kill my own monsters but I can't. So I have to wait for the hype to die down, or just get lucky I can pull them away from the zerg...
I know this is possible because levequests... Why is this not implemented for story quests? Or at least an option to allow others to not target your quest objective.
This is mostly in reference to the new alliance raid, but I see the same thing with beast tribe quests, only worse because mobs are level synced but a higher level player if they are nearby can also blast them down like nothing.
Am I the only one who is annoyed by this? I probably am, but why is it allowed? a solo quest should only be compleatable by a solo player. If this was meant to be a group objective it would be in an instance. Not out in the open world
I wouldn't expect much challenge out of spawned mob from a quest. You can choose to not weaken the ones where you are given an item to give the mob a debuff, but that's about it. Try to find ways to create challenges for yourself if they are what you seek. They are out there.
I was doing the Pixie quest for spawning a mob the other day, and I started fighting it, some rando showed up and started attacking it, so I stopped and let them do it. Then my quest was finished and theirs wasn't, so they had to spawn theirs and do it again. Serves them right. I didn't need help. Was doing pixie beast tribe the other day as Samurai.
Landed about the same time as another player spawned their enemy.
I helped them kill it.
While going through my combos, getting my buffs up, collecting my sen, and popping ikishoten to get kenki.
I spawned mine immediately after.
And then proceeded to just delete it with kaiten midare senei kaishi midare.
I don't see the big deal. I spawned mine as a tank also spawned theirs he pulled aggro and I helped kill both of ours faster. They are just quest mobs.
