    Spawned quest mobs...

Is there no way to lock spawned quest mobs to only be killable by the person who spawned them? This always annoys me at patch time, new quests.. Hundreds of people at spawn point mass killing whatever pops. I want to be able to kill my own monsters but I can't. So I have to wait for the hype to die down, or just get lucky I can pull them away from the zerg...

I know this is possible because levequests... Why is this not implemented for story quests? Or at least an option to allow others to not target your quest objective.

This is mostly in reference to the new alliance raid, but I see the same thing with beast tribe quests, only worse because mobs are level synced but a higher level player if they are nearby can also blast them down like nothing.

Am I the only one who is annoyed by this? I probably am, but why is it allowed? a solo quest should only be compleatable by a solo player. If this was meant to be a group objective it would be in an instance. Not out in the open world

I am not bothered by this. If someone else ends up killing my mob for a quest, I just accept the free conditional completion for my quest and move on. No calories spent.

Most of the people who I've helped kill quest mobs usually /bow at me. So it never crossed my mind that it could annoy them.

Ain't gonna lie. it's a 50/50 for me. I like Killing the mobs myself personally. but at the same time sometimes they can be tough if your under-geared or new to the game. also red chocobos.

The red chocobos! Oh my god! I definitely was grateful for the help on mine.

I actually saw people on my server complaining in shout chat about others not helping kill their quest mob with them, after the other person had finished theirs.

I understand why you feel like that about others killing your quest mobs for you, it's a little annoying. I've had people kill mine in the past while I was handling it just fine and then send me tells that I was rude for not thanking them. Thanking them for what? Pressing tab and one GCD before I killed it already myself and never asking them to do anything in the first place?

Thank who? Usually when I run into this situation, like in the Pixie quests, there's 3+ players spawning mobs, so I have no idea which ones I'm helping kill.

Walk away a bit after spawning your monster. It'll either follow, making it easier to spot, or it'll get caught in someone else's attack, in which case, hey, free help killing it.

That's basically what I do. If there's a constant stream of spawns, I help kill a few. making sure I lay down at least one AOE so I get credit if someone else kills mine while I'm killing theirs. Then I run away so I can mount up.

Don't care, it's just garbage mobs. If SE really felt the encounter was special enough to want to preserve the solo experience, they would make it an instanced fight.
