    Crafting guide for dummies :

Main goal is to increase Quality bar to 100%, before finishing off all the Progress.

“Synthesis” type actions increase Progress. Ideally, get to the point where your next Synthesis will finish off the craft, then get to work on Quality.
“Touch“ type actions increase Quality. Every single Touch action is boosted by Inner Quiet. So, be sure to use that before starting on the Quality.

Basic idea is to Synthesis to the point where the next one finishes. Restore Durability. Add as much Quality as you can, being sure to save enough Durability and CP for that last Sy thesis action. A standard action is using Inner Quiet before adding Quality to the craft, as it will bump up Touches. A standard finish would be Great Strides, Ingenuity, Innovation, Byregot’s Blessing. This finisher will add a lot of Quality, depending on how much Inner Quiet has been built up. That finisher takes 96 CP if memory serves.

I’m not 65. My crafters are all 80, and were 70 when ShB hit. ShB did have a number of changes to crafting, and 5.2 is supposed to have a few more. IF you have your gatherers leveled up to the mid 60’s as well, I’d suggest looking into the Ishgardian Restoration for crafting exp. 5.2, when it lands, should add Gathering content to the Restoration, allowing you to level both crafters and gatherers up fairly easily.

Do NOT rely on internet macros. If you cannot figure things out, get one, and use it to learn what’s going on, to wrap your head around things. Using macros is ok, don’t get me wrong - just write your own, don’t rely on ones you find on the internet. Ones you write will be tailored to your stats and capabilities. Ones found on the internet, not so much.

https://ffxivteamcraft.com/search This should help there is a simulator on the page I provided. Pretty simple click crafting simulator on the left hand side, enter the name of the item your trying to craft. Next enter your stats along with any food or hq mats, once you have done that you can use it develope your own rotation without wasting mats or gil. It will take trial and error but it will help you figure things out. It will show you all the info you need in real time as you work out a rotation.

You can remove actions from the rotation if they dont work, so dont think you need to start over if something does not work out right.

Note: Dont use the auto rotation function its best to work it out yourself. You can make a more refined rotation then the auto can..

As someone that also recently resubbed, it is much easier to level now.

You can do restoration, as noted already. I did leve. Leve required me to advance the MSQ, but not until I hit 70 using Ishgard leve.

Once 70, grab some yellow scrip gear. It's good enough for leve until 80 and they are easily obtained.

After 80 it's less than a mil to gear up in all HQ facet gear besides the MH/OH for additional jobs. So buy BSM with that first mil and make the rest.

Or gather everything and craft it after getting white scrip gear. Gathering levels 2 levels for every 3 leve of the highest tier you have until 77 or so. Takes less than a day for 60-80

As for actual crafting, while leveling I didn't need any macro or special rotations. Just play around and get used to your skills again.
