    I think there needs to be actually hard crafts to do but I don't think the hardcore crafts should be able to be sold on the MB. Same with the mats needed to make them. You want that sweet new glam/mount/minion then you better start grinding some high end content. Make some nodes for gathering that have very low drop rates and or need a lot of the mats from timed nodes so it can take weeks to get that sweet new crafted item you want.

    The best crafted gear you can buy on the MB should be cheap and almost not worth doing for crafters. If you truly want the best crafted gear you should have to make it yourself and if you don't like crafting then good news there's already plenty of ways to get better gear from raids.

    Stat requirements will be raised in 5.2 to make the new combat gear, so I recommend melding now. We won’t be getting new crafting gear until 5.3 anyways.

    I'd hold off until requirements are known so you don't find yourself needing to change your melds because requirements weren't what you expected. If you plan to buy any materia off the MB instead of scrip farming for it, you'd be better off buying it now before prices shoot up.
