The New/Added Combat Sounds...Thoughts?

I am happy to hear that the developers acknowledged the feedback and acknowledged that they will revert changes if deemed necessary.

I’m a much larger fan of the original sounds. I would not be against a toggle that allows people to either use just the older sounds, or use the newer sounds alongside the older sounds. Giving us the option will satisfy both parties: those who like the new sounds and those who do not.

Also good news that should not be ignored: it was confirmed that the voices do come from the same actors and were created back in AAR; the only reason they hadn't been used until recently were technical limitations.

So all the arguments that they don't fit or sound like from a different person are unsubstantiated.

While this may prove that the VAs are the same, it doesn’t change the arguments of how the sound differences present in some of the voice samples are jarring and different enough for players to assume that the voices consist of two different VAs. My character falls into that camp: there is one sound she makes that is far higher in pitch than any of the other sounds, and it sounds terribly out of place.
