... But voice acting is a creative decision, especially in this kind of project. The restraints of ability to hold a tone in combat is secondary to what is being conveyed artistically. What should sound best should suit the expectation of the majority of people hearing it. If they picked a certain voice because, say, the original two grunts sounded cute, they invested themselves into that form of expression. Vice versa as someone who chose a non-cute, non-pretty voice, I'd be annoyed if I got cute sounds on my character since it goes against the fantasy I'd imagined of her when I created her.
