Try on option

Can we get a try on option on items that would take our basic appearence like hair color eye color,hair style and put them on for example a lalafell to try on equipment we have in our bags. I am asking because my current outfit I love but I also wanted to go lala for chibi cosplays (plus horns get annoying on outsfits) I would Like to see how my current gear would look on a lalafell with my hair/eyes skin tone as close as possible on lalafell.

why not just fantasia your retainer into a lalafell and throw the gear on him/her to see for yourself? It's actually better that way if you are particular about details. I don't know if you're aware but the preview window is really bad in term of rendering full detail, I'm a glamour addict and half of the time things look way worse on the preview window comparing to on the actual characters in the gameworld.

Retainer level aside, you can change a retainer's race using a Retainer Fantasia, which is obtainable in-game. They're usually sold cheaply on the Marketboard.

Just an FYI, lalafell glamour is not all fun and games. Most gear looks completely insane on lalafells. Most gear (especially female versions) is designed around standard human proportions and assumes you have things like legs, hips, chest, etc. Lalafells have none of those things. It's pretty much guaranteed that any piece of gear will look vastly different on a lala than everyone else. (Those knee high boots in that screenshot you posted? They're tiny and stupid looking on a lalafell.)

retainer fantasia is on the MB, usually for a few hundred gil to about 3k gil max.
