Large plots will always go fast, afterall they are the most sought after with the least available. I doubt all plots are gone though.
on Ragnarok they are all gone
You would think se would learn by now adding more wards isn't the solution, making all plots any size for inside at least would be much better use of resources.
Didn't check other areas but shirogane has only a couple larges. It is mostly smalls and still lots of smalls left. On Balmung larges were gone in under a min since they were gone before I got on.
What if I told you, there was a time when dozens of plots in all the major cities (except Shirogane) were available? What if I told you, there were so many plots available, for such a long period of time (months), that I could casually house shop over a period of weeks at my leisure? You'd say I was playing a different game, right? Well I wasn't.
I'm going to tell you the secret to buying a house - house shop at the end of an expansion or a content drought, when -no one- is playing the game, and SE rolls out the afk houseowners. It may take a year or two, but if you think there's a content drought, log on and look. It happened (not on the grand scale I described above) just a week or two ago. There were a few plots available in Limsa. I know you're trying to get a mansion, and I don't think I've seen any of those available, but there were plenty of medium and smalls if you're just wanting a house.
I hope this tip helps others as well.

This wasn't the case on Hyperion, and many other servers. Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
And then they empty out again, plenty of plots become available during content droughts, especially the big drought at the end of the expansion.
Trying to get one on the day they're added is a horrible lottery.

Honestly, it really wasn't the case on Hyperion, even in the Goblet. As soon as a plot became available, there'd be 10+ campers there within moments.
Houses were never really given a chance to just sit so that one could leisurely stroll through and buy them. Glad you had that experience on your server though.![]()

I mean, Cerberus isn't a quiet server, but that is essentially exactly how it happened for me.Honestly, it really wasn't the case on Hyperion, even in the Goblet. As soon as a plot became available, there'd be 10+ campers there within moments.

Strolling through Goblet one day and a plot right by the pool was just there, empty, no campers, nothing. Even the timer had run out. That was the best plot, IMHO, but it was by no means the only one.
Not that any of this is an excuse though, the housing situation is still bad, you shouldn't have to wait a couple years for a really long content drought in order to buy a videogame house. That's literally longer than it takes to get a real actual house in the real world, in a lot of places anyway.
