Well, they are in a weird position as most players already have the majority if not all of their leveling out of the way. At this point, it will be incredibly hard to please everyone. If they slow it down too much, new players coming into the game will be pissed if it takes forever to catch up with their friends and there will be the players who will feel like they missed out because they didn't catch the boat when leveling was easier etc...

They need to strike a balance and make sure players have methods besides grinding and leves before they slow it down too much imo... They need to ensure leveling can be a fun process for everyone, and have plenty to do along the way... Maybe in 2.0 ^_^

I absolutely believe that the leveling pace is too fast. You can solo from 1-10 from leves alone in an hour or less. 10-20 is better, but still pretty fast. It doesn't really start to feel like it slows down until about the time you're working on Grand Company content and job quests. And I don't have any 50s, but I see people say all the time there's a weird reverse curve where your last few levels just fly by.

I don't think it's unintentional, either. The super fast pace has probably been left this way due to lack of content. All we mainly have to level with is leves and grinding. I think they need to slow down the pace and give us more low-mid level content with which to progress. The key is to keep the leveling process enjoyable, so that you have so much fun playing, you don't even notice that you're leveling while doing it. You want to play the game, not play the levels.

I would like to see SE slow down the leveling pace so it doesn't feel so trivialized, and give us more leveling content along the way.
