It's cool guys don't worry about it. No doubt everyone who filled out the player's poll said that they think leveling was too fast. Myself and everyone else I've asked said the same.

Leveling is fine. Hardcore people will always comPlain. Period. Increasing the xp to lvl will only increase the disparity with normal people that play.I think the main reason why we keep getting so much stuff to do at our current max leve is just because people can blast form 1 to 50 in 2 weeks if they are hardcore players (some people may take even less...)
What is this causing from my point of view?
A) People skip over the lower level dungeons like totorak and whatever the other with the lone coeurl is.
B) Low level armor seems way too expensive, because they dont take much time to level up and because you can equip gear from any level they rather just not buy anything unless a friend buys it for them.
C)This causes a complete mess in the lower levels economy, crafters just will not craft low level gear.
IMHO, leveling should take a slightly bit more...or at the very least give "required level" to all pieces of armor to help move the economy along and let crafters earn a bit of money (I am not a crafter I just fish and cook but its clear even to me that there is no demand for low level armors or mats for low level items).
This all seems pretty stupid a point to make when Im level 50 but I been taking a look at how the world is moving (at least in our server, Selbina,) and its really painful to watch.
Entirely too fast. new players come in reach 50 and get bored and leave. vicious cycle.I think the main reason why we keep getting so much stuff to do at our current max leve is just because people can blast form 1 to 50 in 2 weeks if they are hardcore players (some people may take even less...)

FFXIV FORUMS = CRYINGCRAFT
SE can do nothing to stop that. SWTOR has the exact same issue and so will any MMO. Slowing down xp will not make those kind of players stay and do anything more productive than reaching cap and leaving.
On Topic: I think reaching 50 is just fine where it's at. Some are not considering how you need to level multiple classes in this game to stay competitive unlike other MMOs. They also are not taking into account 50 is not always going to be cap.
I have leveled PLD to 50 and working on WAR(currently 45) almost completely back to back and it's not a fast experience.
I also think if I want to be a good Dragoon(haven't leveled, but favorite job) I will need to bust out a lot more grinding to get him endgame ready.

True. SWTOR is also ridiculously fast with leveling and that is why SWTOR has the exact problem that XIV will have at relaunch with players hemorrhaging within a month or two. It is also why, from a business standpoint, it makes more sense for SE to slow down leveling, if only to keep subscribers around as long as possible.SE can do nothing to stop that. SWTOR has the exact same issue and so will any MMO. Slowing down xp will not make those kind of players stay and do anything more productive than reaching cap and leaving.

Right now, who gives an F since its just our little group still playing. But come relaunch, for the survival of this game, they have to slow down the leveling speed. In my opinion, SWTOR will be lucky if it lasts five years. I'd really like XIV's lifespan to reach and surpass that.
I don't think it should take a year to level a class, but I also don't think it should take a week either. There has to be a balance.

then what would be the point? they need to just nerf the exp in general. Not if SE were to nerf the EXP one can receive while under Lv.Sync.
well if SE wants along term game they need to have you constantly working at something but if you can do everything in a few months the casuals will stop playing and thats the majority of the user base in all games. unless they pump out content constantly which wont happen after we get 2.0 we will have to wait for current content to be realease and wait for expansions then repeat.
as you can see here http://poll.pollcode.com/q6wt_result?v most people think leveling is too fast.

My girlfriend and I have been trying to catch up to these "Everyone is 50" players for some time now after being on hiatus due to the game not being worth playing for some time. We found when we're actually leveling, the pacing feels right.
I don't understand everyone's logic to slow leveling down though. Oh wait, it's because the people who think its fast are already there and have some elitist desire to remain special.
We aren't using Power Levelers, and while we play many classes non-stop now it seems we stay in the mid 30s due to the amount of classes we're trying to level simultaneously. Maybe it really is MUCH faster with a power leveler, I haven't tried, but what's the hurry? I hear farming Darklight is fun guize. It takes a long time to get a group together to level (which server merges should help with), and once formed EXP parties break down over time and fizzle out quickly, with relatively few in the 30s to recruit in town to keep leveling with. Again, the pacing is probably correct now though and we just need more players to work with 30-40.
I think a lot of you have forgotten what was said in the poll, was to disregard Powerleveling. It takes far to long to get to 30+ right now without a PLer in a given class. I say the curve is about right 30+, but it's too slow 20-30 honestly due to a lack of things to do to raise it in that range other than powerleveling.
I wouldn't mind this if leveling wasn't a complete bore assuming it's a solo/duo situation and not party play (though grinding the same mobs constantly still isn't much more fun). They added a midlevel dungeon that no one does, and 30-40 seems to be a grind of nothing more than the same scenery we seen 1-30 with a grind on Mites near Ul'dah and Raptors later.

nice try. try to look at it realistically though. the ones saying it's too fast is because we leveled when it was slower. the cap has not been raised. you should NOT be able to catch up with people the have played non stop while you didn't touch the game for a while. they took the time to play the game and you want to feel special because se gave you things you didn't earn.
