Hi! Is there any faster way to find a house for sale than just going up to each placard and checking ? like say a board listing all the ones I can buy
I am looking to buy a small house but everywhere seems taken so far![]()

The ward selection screen has open plots listed by price instead of showing a user/FC name. Within the wards themselves, the icons on the map are different for open/claimed plots.

I found one but it isn't for sale yet![]()

Do note however, there isn't a way to tell if a vacant plot is available for purchase other than going to the placard and trying. At best, you can take a rough guess how soon it will be available by considering the average time until the lock is lifted and how many times the plot has devalued. You can check this by looking at the original price and the current price. Each devalue lowers the price by 0.42% and the plot is devalued every six hours. A plot that has devalued six times, has been up for 36h and should be unlocking soon.

I am at the plot and it's vacant but it's not available yet but I don't see the original price? Just what it is at (3,174,113 right now) It's a small house but it does show it's next devaluation in 1:31:40 and huh? I thought max time it could take for a house is 20H?Do note however, there isn't a way to tell if a vacant plot is available for purchase other than going to the placard and trying. The starting prices can be seen here: https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...ing_land/#tab3
That plot starts at 3,187,500, it has devalued once, so it's unlikely to be available until later tomorrow, if not the day after. Given that available plots won't stay vacant for long, the starting price is never far off from the current price, so it's easy to tell which one of the five it is. The starting price depends on how close utilities are and how good the view is.

but I thought it was completely random? so doesn't that mean it could be available today?
What's the point in reducing the price in steps if you can only buy after it's fully devalued?

It isnt getting fully devalued. If the house sits open long enough it eventually settles in at half its original price. That process takes something like a month to happen, not the day-ish that a house sits open on most NA servers.
Just the placard. The timers are randomized so it comes down to being at the placard at the right moment, time and clicking
