    PLD Job Abilities & Traits (Ideas For Devs)

    Hi Everyone

    I would like to say firstly that this is not another of the "Whats wrong with PLD posts". SO if you would like to to discuss that please use one of the many detailed and discussed posts out there.

    I have started this post to list Ideas and would like to keep a standard format for devs to quick reference and be able to gather Ideas from the community. Please dont repeat already implemented abilities or "tweaks" lets be creative and give the devs something to think about and discuss.

    Below is a standardised reply to this post please copy and paste then fill in with your own Ideas.

    Job - PLD

    Role

    PLD is a Holy Knight imbued with white magic, It has significant defence capabilities. Its main role is to protect his/her comrades in battle through the use of sword and shield, they are masters at generating enmity and can easily hold there own against the strongest of attacks using heavy grade armor and masterful shield skills. With limited white magic at their disposal they are able to heal themselves and comrades in desperate situations while covering them with their shield.

    Defence Abilities

    Holy Wall - An ability where the paladin imbues hes shield with mana redirecting enemy attacks/actions/abilities to himself/herself effects. Upon ending the ability accumulated damage will be directed at the paladin. effects party members within close range of the PLD and drains MP significantly over time.

    Invincibility- Draining all MP (Can only be executed with 100% MP) Paladin gains invincibility for 20 seconds. Recast 2hrs

    Enmity Drain - The paladin uses holy magic to purify the target and takes full burden for their sins, removes hate and transfers a proportion to the PLD.

    Holy Blood - The Paladin drains a small amount of MP from all party members in range to instil a Holy regen upon itself.

    Soul of the Paladin Using their last breath the PLD sacrifices themselves to fully cure a comrade and in doing so raise their defence stats by a large proportion.

    Offensive Abilities

    Stalwart of the Righteous - The PLD slams their shield into the ground taking the brunt of all attacks defence lowers gradually while active. The PLD then calls upon the holy spirits to transfer a proportion of damage taken back to his enemies.

    Sword of Valor - For a short duration the PLD is granted a Holy Sword by the the guardian angels of the realm. Increased Damage against undead but uses MP.

    Traits

    Defender of the Realm - Increased Defence

    Fortitude of the Mind - Increased Magic Defence

    Advanced Shield Training- Increased Blocks and damage reduction when using a Scutum or Kite Shield


    This is all I can come up with for the time being if any more occur to me I will add.

    Try to be balanced with your skills so that if they give a big buff in some way they take away something else and hopefully we can start getting some good suggestions.
