In total, there was the Pegasus mount, pegasus minion, brachiosaurus minion, the entirety of the sky rat gear (very cool looking gear btw) and the associated diadem-only mats required to craft it, the Coven weapons (which they *just* added gnb and dnc weps too for some reason), the Notorious Monster Slayer title, and 230 achievement points total. Not to mention the actual content itself, which was an entirely new map, loads of unique mobs, fates and NM's (the brachiosaurus NM fate is something any FF fan should want to experience), and the Emergency Mission with Buer and all his craziness. All of this will be gone in FOUR DAYS with no warning to the playerbase to do anything about it. Nothing minor about this and anyone who is upset is justifiably so.

I think most people assumed when the mention of Diadem being used for Ishgard was dropped, that at least some of the above would become more accessible and new players would be given a chance to experience and obtain it come 5.1. A lot of us planned to wait until 5.1 to have another crack at the Diadem goals we never finished or started. To suddenly be told that it is the exact opposite and it's all being taken away immediately, honestly, beggars belief.
As someone who did this content on-content, a lot of this is, in fact, very minor stuff. The mount and minion are obtainable in POTD and very easily. The Coven weapons are just for show and a very small chance to get if you even clear the Emergency Missions which (as much as I love it) got increasingly harder to clear the less people listened and the more people cleared. The achievement points can be obtained elsewhere, they aren't removing that. The title is a minor loss. The content was bad because you needed a very large party to do most of it and most of the time you couldn't get people to set foot in it (even on-content) which meant it died very quickly pre and post reboot. And post reboot queues made it impossible to get into it at all afaik without getting a PF together. All of this will be gone for TWO WEEKS while they re-adjust things. They never said it was all gone permanently.

They are adjusting it because it needs to be accessible by level 1 players as their goal for the Ishgard restoration is that level 1 and level 80 players will all be able to join in and help. Which, believe it or not, is making something more accessible. And even then, this sounds like another "male viera" thing where people are complaining about hopes they got this idealized dream-like thing where they thought "Oh wow, I'll be able to do this, this, and this!" instead of waiting to see what happened. Hell, I still think people who want male viera have this cute bunny/hare boy idea in their heads and would probably be angry if they didn't make that. Which gives me the idea that if in 2 weeks after the patch it's not exactly like it was in the past we'll have people getting upset that Diadem isn't what they wanted exactly. Which confuses me to me since I hated the place at first, disliked the stuff outside of Emergency Missions second, and now just wants to see what it becomes. The fact that people are getting upset over content I found dull, drab, and uninteresting, honestly, beggars belief after watching people throw it under the bus for almost 4 years now.
