Dummies aren't entirely representative of what you can do in a fight. Team buffs play a lot into your DPS, a point of it could also be your gear.
Make SCH great again! Seriously though, we just want our class to be fun and engaging again, not OP, is that too much to ask for?
Things I'm excited for:
1) Nier Automata 24man raid
2) Finally able to solo Rathalos Extreme (like I was playing mhw). Still want this as a solo ex event or (able to SOS jump in any time). Cause this would be as fun. Only wish Squeenix didn't cop out on the gear, and would've much rather had ACTUAL Rathalos gear from MHW. Using "CAUSE MUH LORE" excuse is so overplayed. We can make our avatars look more like humans irl, but that's where we draw the line? Come on man!
Things I'm worried about:
1) Gear that's shown doesn't say whether it's raid or dungeon, and I really hope NEITHER of those sets are Nier based. I'd actually be pretty pissed about it, and couldn't trust squeenix with another cop out flaw (and hope Yoko Taro would put his foot down on this one).
The melee contest winner exosuit-looking gear is the new pvp gear bought with wolf marks. The wolfsuit gear is the new 4-man dungeon gear from Grand Cosmos. I do not believe we have seen any images of the new 24-man Nier gear yet.Things I'm excited for:

whew, that is a relief. I'll have to re-read that if it's patch notes. I kind of skimmed over most of it to the thing I was mostly interested in (job updates) and the small nier stuff. Saw all the gear, but then immediately was worried that might've been and was hoping it wasn't. Thanks!
To be fair gear from the first out of 3 tends to be on the uglier side. Not sure if this is going to be a trend with the new one but I don't have my hopes up.whew, that is a relief. My guess is that the stuff from the first 24 man will be based more on the outfits the various Androids of the Resistance generally wore, with stuff trending more towards YoRHA style stuff in the second raid and the 2B/9S/2P/A2 outfits showing up in the final set.
I'm kinda surprised that Orbonne will be getting echo. I guess people still couldn't get past Thunder God.
- Ninja: Is this even a Ninja? It has less in common with itself in any given expansion than with a weird Dancer/Dragoon hybrid...
- MNK: Blue-glowing constipation-stance (Anatman) made more consistently punishing at 2.5 to 3 seconds per opener up from .1 to 3 seconds. Hurray?
- SAM: Well, at least TG is no longer always a 2.5-second GCD lock? RIP Meditate fishing, for better or worse.
- BRD: Are we really still overestimating rDPS this badly? The average of 1% rDPS might not even be enough to reach MCH level rDPS (in their case, via pDPS alone). And what's with these noticeable-only-on-paper minute raid buffs? What was wrong with having raid buffs actually worth holding CDs for even if not stacked 4 at a time?
- DRG: So BotD is a non-mechanic that literally cannot fail except by going AFK, and yet we're still using up a button and a gauge for it?
- SMN: If we can refresh and spread our DoTs for free every 10 seconds, why even bother having our DoTs outside of Tri-disaster? We now have Iron Jaws, but at zero opportunity cost.
- RDM: Toolkit's still a mess, but I'll take the potency buffs for now?
- MCH: Sure, I guess.
- SCH: Okay?
- WHM: Okay.
- AST: Actually, these are pretty good.
- Healers: (Via Rescue) Okay, I dig that.
don't forget with Bane the spread has a falloff. so even if you keep baning off baning you're not being very smart.
What do you mean it has a falloff? Post level...I think the notes said 78... It's a 100% chance of refreshing the DoTs on the spread targets. I believe at that rate you can literally never cast DoTs again if there are 2+ targets.
