Secondly, two to infinite hrs? That suggests you were doing things wrong in XI.. It's called having the ToD.
Um, having the ToD doesn't eliminate the 2-3 hours of 30 minute windows you have to sit through before the NM pops.

I mean really: Why can't people see the bad game design a mile away when they spend most of the time not playing the game? A typical HNM hunt in XI went like this:

*people trickle in 21 hours after last pop in anticipation of next one*
    *first window comes up*
    *no pop*
*everyone goes AFK, maybe plays isketch or some other web game for 29 minutes*
    *next window comes up*
    *no pop*
*everyone goes AFK, maybe plays isketch or some other web game for 29 minutes*
*repeat 1-4 more times until NM pops*
*9 out of 10 people not part of the claiming party leave the area*

XI's HNM setup was a waste of time for everyone involved, and an even bigger waste of time for the majority of people that didn't get to enjoy a good fight. Why couldn't the windows be 2-3 minutes apart? or even better, why have the windows at all? it doesn't really impact who will claim it. It wouldn't be any less thrilling for the thrillseekers, and it would be far less of a waste of time for those not in it for the thrill of competition.

I really don't understand how anyone can call it fun when you spend the majority of your time at a camp NOT playing the game. Killing things is fun. Waiting? not fun. Let's mix the two together! great idea!

I can at least say for thr Triple Triad fanboys that those wait times would at least have been less dull if there was an *in-game* minigame or other mechanism to pass the time, rather than the best option be to troll the forums or play a web game.
