    i agree with wanting something like sky/sea. it's my number one on my wish list. something that full linkshells can do together and literally if wanted to ..could spend everyday all day doing it. no time limits, no instances, no max number of people. tons of bosses, mini bosses, main bosses, gears, items, commrodery, and working together for the same goal. gearing each other up. i can't stress how a mmo will thrive with something like this, even if casuals can't put in much time, they eventually start getting the same gear we do. plus it's not like we still don't have the instances and dungeons that don't need that gear to beat. it just makes it easier and faster with. time wasted to gain = some time saved in other feats.

    having HNM's with a 6-9 hour re-spawn timer would be great, personally I think 24 hours is a bit long but 6-9 hours would be perfect in my books. Also having the ability to spawn HNM's with trigger items you would buy with Grand Company points (A lot of points) would be good too. This way people who love the rush of camping HNM's and claiming could have their fun, and people who don't have the freedom of being able to log on at random times for a spawn window could just farm grand company points for a week or two and buy the trigger item and force spawn a HNM during their play hours.

    FF got the class/job system where you can level all of them in a single character. Given that fact, you'd gear up your main class/job, then move on to the next. Such a system would also guarantee an active and populated areas by people actively doing events.


    XI had some flaws in that system. Where if you are farming place holders of some trigger, you would end up with the the issue of losing the claim, they solved the issue later with farming the area for pop item for that trigger, everyone was happy and thus LS personal merit parties were created for example. Sometimes, farming for a random drop that popped the trigger, could and did ruin events because of that shitty rate, could also be solved by creating a system of doing certain tasks depending on the size of your party.


    Also, it had the issue of the aggro, where the traveling and avoiding aggro took a great amount of time from the event itself "farming or fighting", magic aggro in sky was easy to avoid, but Sea was horrifying with the true sights especially in farming.


    I can't emphasize enough on the factor of the open area events, I believe a great factor played in XI longer years, the fact every open world event was populated and active, I can bet every XI player wanted Byakko's Haidate just for the sake of doing sky, I know I wanted one but never got them :'(. Yes, BCNM/KSNM was successful as well, but those were personally sponsored and done by LS once every month or so.

    In my opinion, borrowing a lot of content from FFXI can be a bad idea since it felt like an everquest clone which is no longer used in the current MMO generation. If you want 6-24 hours HNM spawn timers, most of us would forget about it and want an assault mission content from FFXI. We could earn some credits by winning and spend some for getting rewards.

    let people have what they want >.> their opinions are worth the same as yours if not more and it was an everquest clone at least read up on it... the design team admitted it it was still a good game... just like their basing FFXIV on a wowlike system its not gonna be WoW though its gonna be FFXIV ARR o.o get used to it and don't be little others

    It's not about borrowing ideas. It's taking whats working and what aspect made that game a successful game. Yes, Assault mission was great and I loved it, but that worked as a party content and I would love to have it implement. I know Crystal Tower is something similar but that's for raids.

    Open area HNM-Trigger system would guarantee rewards as the end of the day, regardless of farming of fighting, and an opportunity for an alive system.

    In my opinion, assault missions are perfect, it's like you have to kill mobs in dungeon until the final boss (BAM!) My epic gear would be better than wasting your time for HNM. o.o

    It's really silly to spend your time hanging out with campers and you may have a chance to claim a monster. lol
    Even if HNMs exist, we would spend our time with dungeons even more. Any words on news the dev team confirmed that there will be HNM spawn system?

    yeah i haven't played that game ....at some point i was debating either go TERA or FFXIV cuz reviews made TERA sound awesome + the graphics but now i'm so glad i chose FFXIV on time to score legacy status!

    That said big monsters are quite a sight ..like in FFX you come out a forest and you see huge dino like mobs that are used for transportation and such
