I'll go back to my original state of mind then, forget HNM, FFXIV isn't designed for them. It's built for work = reward, not work = maybe get OP stuff. If I have to choose then I, like most people, think this system is a hell of a lot better than what XI had. Go fondle your epeen elsewhere. Yep, that was overly aggressive and IDC. Here I was hoping you (being the biggest proponent of these coming back in new ways) would welcome work = reward, when it seems you might just be another e-peener.

If people want to camp HNMs for thrill, cool. If people want to camp HNMs just to think they're better than the other players, then nothx. It should stay out of XIV. That isn't the environment it's built so far. Work = reward in XIV.

Work = Reward? Between PL's and a Instanced Raid system with a loot distribution method that is broke worse than America's Economy, I don't really take his posts seriously. And "This system being better than XI's system", really explains why XI was much, much, much more successful and had a much, much, much larger playerbase.

Then take a few moments and flip through the pages of this thread and get a feel, firsthand on how many more supporters there are for HNM's, as compared to those against.

And even still, that is not the point of this thread. I am trying to discuss different methods of how HNM's can be implemented in a manner which appeals to more than just one class of players.

Not discuss why X idea is better than X idea.
