Yes, I would still drive one. It should feel the same, you should drive one because you like fast and sporty machines that are designed for speed and power. You shouldn't drive one cuz it makes you feel superior. Protip: it doesn't make you superior.

As for greatly exaggerating the issues of XI, I'm really not. It was a nightmare when the game was in its prime and even up until it started dying off. Relics could be accomplished with hard work and dedication (btw, relics were from instances) but if you can't outclaim someone, be they real or bot, no amount of hardwork will get you those items.

Why do you want to fight? If you can hang out in a place that's supposed to be enjoyable without fighting.... wait... Do you want to fight over things cuz you enjoy fighting?

I never reported anyone for being a botter, even the people who admitted to botting. I never whined cuz I didn't get claim. Is everyone so callous to people who couldn't claim, though? I'm as much an asshole as the next guy, but even I have some empathy in this situation.

If people camp every day they make just as much effort as the people who camp every day and actually get claim, this is just the campers, this doesn't even involve the casuals in this equation. Campers putting in the same effort are rewarded differently. <~ (that's the patriarch post above you Firon)

I'd actually be 100% ok with cash drops. That sounds good to me.

    Risk/Reward.

I like knowing that nothing is for sure. It creates excitement, and a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when you finally obtain that elusive item from x-hnm.

And I gave points for camping, assuming you were verified to be awake, even if we didn't claim. But this is something I don't want to have to do in FFXIV because I hope to have HNM's with tiny windows!

For your giving points i meant campers in your shell vs. campers in other shells. The other shells make the same effort as your shell to get the mob.

How do people really feel about huge spawn areas? Without widescan... it'd be like finding sandworm! A mob like that should drop unique toys, but not OP toys. Again, I'm wary of speedhackers, we'll need a serious bump up in GM activity if that happens.

Unique toys, or trinkets which I think you mean? should be received from the goofy/trivial seasonal events that SE brings to their MMO's.

A massive free roaming dragon should drop a nice sword, or a suit of armor. Not a gift for your mog house wall.

And it doesn't even necessarily need to be the ENTIRE zone, but a much larger scale pop radius as compared to a specific tiny spot where everyone can gather and spam stun.

Unique toys like Idkwhattocallit. Something on par with maybe Ifrit weapons, but with different stat bonuses. Something useful like HDL is for now, but maybe favor stats over def/enm. Stuff that doesn't break the game but are still fun to play with, like toys!

Well of course, nothing should ever be game breaking.

But I think they should implement items equal to what Defending Ring/Ridill/Abjurations equaled in FFXI.

That arguement is a bit on the ridiculous side. The same issues could come from an instanced situation, Especially if they add the well requested multi-group instances. Not to mention, when you figure in the impotence of gear in general, your point becomes slightly comical. I mean we can pretty much complete any in game content naked. Your arguement against HNMs is that there gear drop, which would be just as applicable a drop from an instance, might make casuals less valide to harder core players?

How exactly is that comical? It happens in MMOs all the time. You'd have to have your head buried in the sand to say you've never seen this happen in an MMO.
