Iconic jobs that are left:
Chemist
Geomancer
Beastmaster
Oracle
Magic Knight
Time Mage
Berserker
Jobs that are left but too inconsistent to be called iconic:
Mathematician
Songstress
Psychic
Muskateer (Still technically has a lore only guild in Limsa Lominsa)
Illusionist
Juggler
Morpher
Etc.
There's enough jobs for Square Enix to build on for years. We will likely never see them all.

Geomancer, I reckon.
It's a fairly common and frequent request, it's been outlined as an actual thing within the game world and WHM has been adjusted at higher levels to lose Earth and Wind attacks in favour of Holy themed ones instead. Which, in turn, reduces the overlap that there would be between the two jobs.
Chemist is another common request and might fit a Garlean themed expansion quite well if that is what is next.
I'm fairly certain that we'll be seeing a new healer as there was a lot of backlash in regards to one not being added with Shadowbringers.

To be honest, I'm... pretty satisfied with what we currently have as far as the iconic jobs go, so I wouldn't mind something a bit more "out there" or heck, having some brand new ones.
Family Medicine doctor.
Constantly learning.

I think GNB was perfect for that. Iconic and nostalgic enough to be a crowd pleaser, but still something new and fresh. Sorcerer, Soldier, ...Star of the Zandarkand Abe's?
Ppl have been mentioning Chemist a lot for a while now & here I am like:
"We HAVE (Al)chemists who can craft potions in the game already, plus everyone can use them". Whether ppl actually do use potions -be it buffs or debuffs-, that\\'s another story
I would love Chemist for Healer, or Geomancer (either healer or DPS).
I always loved Geomancer in FFIII, played it for ages. Plus, it is mentioned in the AST quests, so they do exist in FFXIV.
Chemist sounds interesting too, I can picture them using some sort of mixing techniques to get many sorts of potions and remedy, or explosives and dangerous poisons clouds ! They could mix their ingredients via something like the ninja's mudras for exemple. I would absolutely adore playing a job like that.

Probably GEO is up next.
And to everyone who's like "UMM ACKCHUALLY GEOMANCER IS JUST THE EASTERN WHM/AST". No. Just because we fought alongside a geomancer in the AST quest who used WHM animations does not mean its the same thing. Thats like saying the Astrologians in Coerthas are the same thing as Sharlyan Astrologians. We literally have a series of Trials against Geomany users (Four Lords), and also fight some Geomancers in Swallows Compass, and if you're trying to tell me they are the same as a WHM or an AST then I'd like some of what you're taking
Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"

The concept of a Geomancer, pulling energy from the land to power your elemental spells, is exactly the lore of the Conjurer quests. So to that end, it does feel like that class will need to be retconned in order for Geomancer to exist.Probably GEO is up next.

This isn't impossible now that white mages use dia and glare instead of aero and stone, but they still have more work to do.
Nothing needs to be retconned. White Mage, Black Mage and Blue Mage draw from ambient aether to perform elemental spells. 2 Classes can have the same source of power and do similar looking things and be seperate classes (summoner/early scholar). Not to mention Geomancers can pull from more elements than a cnj can anyway, so thats difference enough as is.The concept of a Geomancer, pulling energy from the land to power your elemental spells, is exactly the lore of the Conjurer quests.
