Blue Mage! Wouldn't it be great to have Blue Mage in this game? There's a lot of demand for it!
Huh? What's that you say? LALALALALALALALA!!! I can't hear you! Yessir, it's about time we finally got Blue Mage, yep!
...
More seriously, if I had to guess, I'd say Geomancer is a strong contender, given that it's already been confirmed to exist in the world of FFXIV. It's mostly a matter of fleshing it out as an actual player job.
However, I doubt that GEO would be a healer, as that would make it too similar to WHM/CNJ (two jobs that heal AND use wind/earth/water magic?), and anyway, the NPC Geomancers never cast healing spells in the questlines they appeared in nor were they implied in any way to be healers. (They were "guardians", and their magic "compliments" Astrologians' - sounds more like a tank, to me!) Given that there's nearly riot-levels of outcry for a new healer, I'm guessing we'll get one. Chemist might make an appearance, as it's a popular request AND it's a healer. If not Chemist, I'd guess some other classic job that could be retooled to healer, like Templar, Sage, or Oracle.
I'd say probably beastmaster as the second limited job sometime in the 5.X patch cycle.
Next jobs in 6.0...other than guessing they'll add a healer after the backlash in 5.0, I'm not sure. It may depend in part where we go. For example if we go to the Empire next expansion, perhaps we'll get some sort of garlean tech based healer like a Doctor job or something. That could be interesting to have a tech tank, dps and healer to round things out instead of another pure magic healer.
I'm skeptical of a shapeshifting job but we'll see. They haven't even kept up with adding new egi glamours so any shapeshifted forms people may get tired of not getting new ones/updates to them, so I'm not sure this is a great idea in the long run.

If we get a healer its because we actually need one and they have a good idea for one. Not because "Rabble-Rabble give us new healer"I'd say probably beastmaster as the second limited job sometime in the 5.X patch cycle.

Depending on where we are going in the next Year and a half towards the next expansion, I love the idea of a Chemist. Its a Non-traditional healer concept that would fit with Garlameld if thats where we are heading.
Rune Fencer has popped up a few times, but with Red Mage already a thing and us getting Gunbreaker as a new tank, Im not to sure how it would be done or what role it will play. Maybe its about time Dragoon shares some gear with something, as much as Im sure we are sick of DPS jobs.
IF we get another Limited Job, I like Puppetmaster more. Beast Tamer while cool sounding just feels like it would be a non-caster Summoner.
A whip weapon would be cool AF though
I mostly say besatmaster because IIRC, they namedropped it as a possible limited job when announcing blue mage.If we get a healer its because we actually need one and they have a good idea for one. Not because "Rabble-Rabble give us new healer"

I actually wouldn't be shocked though if we started getting only one new job an expansion because of a mix of the extra overhead each new job adds and needing to keep each new job added distinct while also fitting into the tank/healer/melee/ranged/caster roles in general.

Morpher? That was a Nu Nou Job in Tactics Advance.
This seems like the likeliest option I can think of, though. And if the next expansion is Garlemald, I could see it being a Garlean inspired Job.

Beastmaster, because it would have vastly different mechanics than any other job in the game if they stay true to its' origins. I touched on this before, but I feel like other jobs are simply rehashes of what we already have. "Tank with a Gunblade instead of an Axe," the end-goal and overall premise is the same. BST would be something totally different.
In my opinion, with all the potential jobs out there, BST would bring the most players. Nearly every mmo has a beast pet class, many are awaiting for XIV to implement one.

We already have 2 Beast Pet Classes. Scholar and Summoner. So this idea while cool is already done. The most you could ask for is maybe some sort of update and improvement to our current pet classes (I for one miss the ability to command them to use X skill)

I have a feeling we may get a 4th healer, either Chemist or Geomancer, and then nothing but limited jobs from there out.
Beastmaster, Doll Mage, Ranger, Oracle, Calculator. All limited.
Without re-designing group and raid size, we already have waaaaay more classes than we can fit into anything.

I agree with you. In fact, I am expecting a change in the number of players in light parties and raids.I have a feeling we may get a 4th healer, either Chemist or Geomancer, and then nothing but limited jobs from there out.
