I'd say this concept would precisely be more fitting to a Mime. In FFVI, Gogo worked the same way. On top of having the Mime skill, you could set up its battle UI with any skill your other character had.
It would be interesting to have a set number of combo slots, ability slots and spell slot, and fully customize them.

The good part about that would be that eveyone would completely understand how such a job could literraly be impossible to balance and thus, was kept a limited job

I don't think they had to do this for Final Fantasy V

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.

Well since this is a gba version onwards exclusive i've been looking for sales/marketing on that and for gba i've come up near empty with this being the only possible they may have sold to China,

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._Advance_games
PAL - PAL/SECAM territories, most of Europe, Australia, and parts of Asia.
Final Fantasy V Advance N/A 2006 TOSE Square Enix (Japan), Nintendo (overseas) NA, PAL, JP

Did they sell/market it to China(i've come up empty so someone else may find it) or did they only sell it to EU/Australia which is put under the same bracket

For steam port again i've come up empty with this being the only indicator(besides lack of information) that ffv hasn't been marketed to China

As far as i can see the only game with Necromancer in the final fantasy series has not been marketed to China at all, FFXIV does though, remember that outfit that went up on the mogstation that caused a little controversy and SE had to make an apology and rename it on the Chinese/Korean mogstation.

Besides everything Necromancer in the series is just a different Blue Mage except rather than using the skill the Necromancer has to be the one to kill it, so either a completely different feel to how the job has been in the past ala red mage or be made a limited job, pick your poison.
