Retainer Service problems and 180 day sub problems

So I didn't know where to put this but I just resubbed for 180 days, because I thought it was a good idea, so I wouldn't have to worry about it for a while, but I then noticed that I can't subscribe for retainers monthly, it HAS to be for the length of my sub which is 6 months, so i'm FORCED to pay for 6 months of retainers and companion app when I only wanted 1 month. Why am I forced to do it for 6 months just because my sub is 6 months? I should be able to choose how many months I want. It's kind of ridiculous that I can not choose how many months? This should be fixed will it be?

It works this way because the extra retainers is not a stand-alone service but is rather an extension to your existing subscription. So the cost of the extra retainers is simply added to the cost of your subscription, and is thus included when the subscription is renewed.

If I have 6 months of sub for my sub, I should be able to choose whether I want 1 month, 2 months and so on, same with 3 months.
