It's worth remembering that the 5.1 Trailer DOES look like "Tan 2B" by comparison to the original, well-known "2P", which to my knowledge, was given the designation when SE decided to make figurines of her.

I don't know where you're from, but OG 2P is not just a few trips to the tanning salon where I'm from. They look as though they were, even as "just androids with color variants", were made to be as distinguishable as night and day.

It probably is just the result of different lighting being used for the render on the site. In the patch art she looks tan. :v

Yeah, you're absolutely correct. Thankfully we can take comfort in the fact that this is all a complete non-issue. After all, those who are seemingly up in arms over this aren't willing to consider taking a stand by distancing themselves from FFXIV.

It's just a blatant attempt to manipulate and cause trouble where there's no need to. With the usual nasty accusations thrown at both the development team and anyone else who isn't on board with the latest fashionable 'concern'.

It takes less than thirty seconds to make a post in the vast majority of cases. The perfect activity to indulge in when browsing the site on a commute to work or during a lunch break. It's also five thousand posts over the course of six years, which isn't even that high a number.

Better make sure if you draw Fenris his skin tone is closer to a chocolate bar than his actual skin color of a slightly tan even though honestly he's paler than most Europeans. Same thing happening here. And quite frankly, Nier's art style holds NO racial characteristics. I see 2P as white. You can argue all day long she isn't, but you are not anymore right than me bc you say so.

The best part is, you guys are projecting onto a company full of non caucasians. A culture that sees skin color different than the western world. Hate to break it to you but the skin color that they use to popularly depict light skin tone has little to do with race. Its why Japanese people look 'white' in anime. It's also why all of Doma is whiter than me. But totally 2P having lighter skin totally has to do with western concept of race. Bc the whole world follows the same rules /sarcasm.
