I just thought it was an alt color in a fighting game.

It was, until FFXIV.

It's not, but things don't have to be important for people to have varied and passionate opinions about and argue those opinions in an online forum.

To be honest I didn't even know it was a real character.

It wasn't (see the image posted by FeliAiko showing two 2Bs, no 2P), until FFXIV.

I don't think that makes them a racist. People nowadays tend to use that word but don't know what it really means. Some people like certain things to reflect their source material, even if it's a random made up character that was shown in another game. It doesn't bother me personally, but I can see how or why it may bother someone else.

Right, and maybe you could try figuring out the reality that there may be others like you that will have their own reasons for wanting the 2P aesthetic - and that it doesn't necessarily mean it's because they a racist as you've foolishly asserted.

Contrast between darker and lighter things looks way better than a muddy mess of two light things. Hence why 2B looks good with the white hair, light skin, and dark dress, and the same for 2P; black hair, dark(er) skin, and light dress.

Oh but it seems SE designers think the same way I do ~ pale skin looks so beautiful with black hair! True beauty by Japanese standards ^^
