Well this topic went downhill fast...2Ps skin colour does look lighter then normal and I can see why folks would feel like its a sleight after all representaion is inportant. But I am going to hold any judgment untill the raid is released. It could just be lighting and she's her useral skin tone in most of the cuterscenes.

Representation is important to some crowds. It does not follow that it is important to SE or their Japanese audience, or even most of their Western audience.

Buddy, I already hinted pretty heavily that I'm not white but you and your pal above can keep thinking that if you think it gives you a leg to stand on. We are talking about Japan, a country that has virtually NO minority group to BUILD institutionalized racism like your buddy above claimed. Did I ever say that Japan is not racist? No, I did not. That is assuming their ideas even work in the West. Like most of the world, it certainly does have a sketchy history in some regards, and there was some merit to the term in the past when laws existed to back it in certain countries, but most of what they nowadays call "institutionalized racism" is just any differences in outcome they don't like, even if there are better, competing explanations, as well as blaming all whites for the sins of a tiny percentage of whites in the past. You'd have to go father afield, to somewhere like India, as opposed to Japan, to find something closer to the concept, but that probably doesn't count, because only whitey is the devil, colonised, had empires, engaged in slavery etc... and everyone else was angelic.

Without wading into this quagmire, I'd just like to point out that you are having a heated politically-laden debate over the perceived HSL value of a digital asset's skin texture, as depicted by a 3D render's green-screen 2D screenshot utilised to make a promotional page look fancy. There is still no reason to believe that the (most likely edited for visual clarity) render indicates any sudden changes to the art assets we will see in game in slightly over a week, especially given that we saw said asset's probably latest and most final iteration in the most recent gameplay trailer n_n

I repeat: gameplay trailer. As in... recorded in the actual game engine. The same that the game runs on. The game that we play. The one and only thing that matters in this context... at least one would think it should...?
