Was running E1S with my static and had to leave half way through due to my cat puking all over my bed >.<

It didn't happen to me, but I remember seeing a Twitter thread where this person had a tank who kept disconnecting. Tank claimed it was happening every time he jumped. I mean, who doesn't love jumping in a video game? After a handful of disconnections, the tank says he took off his spacebar so he'll stop disconnecting. He then linked an imgur link to a picture where he was holding the spacebar key in front of his screen.
It could have been faked for internet fame, but I think the excuse "jumping is disconnecting me" and the results that followed are my favorite thing.
If I can find the Twitter thread again, I will edit this and link it. But I'm not sure how long ago I saw it or if I retweeted it or not.

"My youngest sibling is screaming in my ear, it's impossible to focus like this!"
That one's mine.
Hard to focus on the fight when you have Lord Asshat wailing like a banshee and screaming death threats at you for daring to breathe the same air as him or whatever inane excuse he's using to start a fight this time.
The typical response to this from other players goes along the lines of "Punch him in the face" or "Apply good old sibling violence"
the kid excuse bugs me to no end. like people think that makes it ok? if you have a kid on hand that you're responsible for... stop playing?
if you keep screwing up, i really don't care if it's because you have a baby in your arm or if it's because you were alt-tabbed watching netflix. the end result for everybody else is the same.
"family is more important" so go deal with your family *instead* of playing this?
You do realize that kids aswell as pets have a mind of their own and you can't predict everything they do at any given time, right?the kid excuse bugs me to no end. like people think that makes it ok? if you have a kid on hand that you're responsible for... stop playing?

So unless you plan on chaining them to the wall in your basement, things can happen. Even if you plan ahead really well, take care of everything that might come up within the next 1-2 hours, you can't account for everything in advance.
If it's a constant thing and quite obvious that someone just started playing without thinking of feeding the cat beforehand or looking for the things the kid had asked for the past hour or walking the dog, I agree.
But a cat puking on your feet, knocking over a bottle or a kid you thought fast asleep and taken care of waking up and wailing like a banshee can happen and there's little you can do about it.

Brb my uncle set the yard on fire again

Sounds like reply from a blissful ignorant teenager or bachelor/single who never had any kind of private responsibility or experience in that area. This isn't binary where the only answers are 1 or 0.the kid excuse bugs me to no end. like people think that makes it ok? if you have a kid on hand that you're responsible for... stop playing?

Just a proud bad-skilked player
